Trailer: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0530xzt

Anyone else watching tonight?

(Ireland apparently gets Wednesday episodes instead.
No spoilers, please!).

Sapphire,

You're right!
Just checked and it was only first shown, new, in ep 2.

And that's terrifying, because it means that I'd 'seen' that entire sequence, in every detail, including the dialogue, before it played out in real time last week. WTF!

It doesn't feature in any of the programme site's trailers (which all play music throughout, anyway), and there are no preview clips long enough to have included it all.

Can someone explain where the holy hell I must've seen it (and, no, didn't visit Ireland and watch their Wednesday transmission)...I'm unnerved.

POLITE NOTE TO OUR IRISH FRIENDS:
You lucky bastards get to see how it pans out tonight!
However, much as we're all dying to know how it ends, please don't leave any spoilers on this thread...then we can all discuss it together, after BBC2's final transmission tomorrow.
Thanking you muchly Smile

Well, now this is just plain cruel^ :

I just read that RTE rescheduled tonight's final ep. of Paula. Will now air alongside the BBC's transmission tomorrow.
But not even until 10.15pm, so after us.

Was this a recent, sneaky move? Or was it always timetabled to be shown then?

Vanellope, he's written a lot of plays. My favourite are the weir & the seafarer. Both have a supernatural bent. He's also written a very funny film I went down. Also a serious drama that was shown on bbc Quirke

SapphireStrange · 07/06/2017 18:56

Thalia, maybe just deja vu? or maybe you're madder than this show Grin

Definitely mad, Sapphire, just hope to God not as mad as the show ? Grin

Surely proven beyond doubt by my appropriate use of full brightness light bulbs, disinclination to bludgeon anything with a pulse, and non-haunting by ScarySewn-UpMouthGirl?

Yeah, you're right: I suppose the Paula/ Callum/ phonebox sequence must've been déjà vu. It's the level of detail, and knowing certain phrasing they'd use, which is a bit freaky even so.

24hrs to go...

Oh, Private, missed your comment.

Thank God, then!

I assumed I must have seen it elsewhere too, but nothing came up in its entirety when tried checking available clips earlier.

Was beginning to think the characters had disturbed me more than I realised!

Yes, you're right, you're not as mad (or cliched!) as this show. I'm SO tired of no one on the telly switching on a fecking light.

LorLorr2 · 08/06/2017 11:09

I've been well looking forward to tonight's episode hahaa!

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 08/06/2017 12:52

Thanks Nelly!

Multi-pack of these for whoever predicts tonight's big reveal most accurately... Wink

(Not long to go now. Woohoo).

ShoeDreamsAgain · 08/06/2017 17:31

So the rat catcher guy has two girlfriends in the same house?!

ShoeDreamsAgain · 08/06/2017 17:53

Will watch episode two later, but Paula should have told the detective that Philip left a message saying something strange was happening. Weird that she held that back.

LorLorr2 · 08/06/2017 18:06

Is it 9pm that it starts?

LorLorr2 · 08/06/2017 18:12

ShoeDreams yeah! I didn't understand who they both were at first haha,it was played out without much explanation so I felt like we were meant to have a grip on what's going on between them all Grin

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 08/06/2017 18:40

Lor,

Yes...last episode tonight, 9pm (BBC2) and 10.15pm (RTE).

Thank you very much :)

ShoeDreamsAgain · 08/06/2017 19:55

Blimey. Just watched episode two and I can't imagine what sort of explanation for all of this murdering and polyamory they can dredge up.

CeeBeeBee · 08/06/2017 19:55

I watched the last two episodes and still don't know what to make of the title protagonist or James. How did Mac's eye heal so quickly! I don't think he's dead as trailers show Paula going to the fair with him and his dds.

ShoeDreamsAgain · 08/06/2017 19:58

Well he's definitely not dead as he looked in to the car as she was going to the garda station. She ignored him though.

She's a bit weird too. They're all a bit weird. I can only relate to the sad garda woman with the unrequited crush. :-p

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 08/06/2017 20:27

Ah. But don't forget that what we, the viewers, see is only a particular character's take on any given situation!
So 'literal' camera shots, or characters present in a scene etc. might be one huge red herring.

(e.g. we 'see' Paula sitting chatting and laughing in a pub, sharing some intense childhood memories with Mac...but did that happen?
Or was that what she fantasised, whilst sitting vigil by her brother's hospital bed?
Or did she, yes, go to that same pub, but sit talking to herself?
Are some people imagined? Dead? Is she herself recalling a different life).

Grin Yikes...only 35 mins until kick-off.
