Can I join please? Loving this season but did find last night's episode a bit hard-going, felt like I was watching David Lynch's A-Level coursework.

I have read a few recaps of last night's episode and that has helped me make a bit more sense of it. A bit, mind, not a lot!

Yes Piff, like the young couple from the 50s possibly being Leland and Sarah Palmer?

I think most people agree that surely the girl must in some way be connected to Laura Palmer's bloodline? I think it's quite likely the girl is Sarah although the guy probably isn't Leland because the date they met was documented as being later than that.

Ok I have some questions - feel free to answer them!

Who is the lady with the Giant? Are they in the same concrete box thing that good Cooper was in when he was coming back from the black lodge?

One other thing - this scene triggered my memory of the Giant speaking to good Cooper in the first scene of the series. I think it was then that he gives him the numbers 153. When he first goes into the box, the lady with sealed eyes is there and that machine on the wall had '15' on it. After she's pulled the lever he goes back in and it now says '3'

Reading that back sounds nuts anyone know anything?

By the way, everyone the nuclear test can't have caused the Black Lodge to exist because it already existed so I got that wrong. I guess what it did was suck some people and entities into its realm including Bob, perhaps?

Well it's not my favourite David Lynch film by any stretch but it does explain the green ring - i.e. Whoever wears it has a soul tie to the black lodge.

Also the pylon where the little boy was killed by the hit and run driver seems to feature.

A theory is that it's aliens...
So there was a bad alien that vomited out a bad egg (the bubble with Bob in it) and then there was the good aliens who saw this on their space TV () and made a good egg which had a picture of Laura Palmer on, and this was sent down to earth. I thought that it was the creature that crawled into the girl's mouth was then meant to make Laura Palmer come about but then why would the good aliens make those men who crushed skulls an integral part of Laura Palmer getting there if they were good aliens...

Dark lodge is supposed to be spaceship i think.

I don't have to worry that this is really far fetched because anything is within the realms of possibility with Lynch. This is a fan theory though not my own.

Ooh what did we think of tonight's episode? Apparently the lady in the red shoes who walked in front of Dougie/Coop could be a clue as to what will wake him up...or rather who...Audrey Horne.

Yay - I would love Audrey to come back.

I think this episode really gave some indications as to where the plot is going. I just love Gordon and Diane.

It was very cool user. I didn't enjoy tonight's episode, it felt a bit stilted/ like a 'holding bay' for something more interesting. The songs at the end of each episode are doing my head in too.

Gave a good insight into the Horne family tree. I can see why David Lynch handpicked Eamon Farren he's bloody evil incarnate!! Sad they recast Johnny Horne it's the only recast apparently.. just waiting for Coop to wake up

(Was obsessed as a youngster during OG run) maddened by S3 at times but loving the theories, memes etc. The internet commentary makes it more of an experience imo

I was at school when the original was on a group of us used to enjoy getting together to discuss our theories 🤓sometimes I think the Internet is helpful (GoT) where half the time I don't get wtf is going on and other times I think it takes away our own ability to question ideas. Does that make sense? Anyway really enjoying it. Seeing Audrey was a bit of an anti climax. Really really miss Harry Truman :(

I'm still watching!!! I enjoyed this week's episode the least but overall I've loved it - excuse the pun but it feels like peak David Lynch. Although there's not long left and I just wish Coop would wake up!

He once said if he ever got lost, he hoped Hawk would find him - given Lynch's way of bringing the old series and FWWM back into this I think that's what'll happen

That's a good theory :) just don't want it to end. Lynch always leaves you wanting more

So did anyone stick around for the finale? I loved episode 16 so much. I found 17 & 18 a disappointment but some of the online theories helped me. I was a bit sad tbh, like Coops had gone again after only just getting him back.
