Oof, the bit with the small murderous guy was really awful. And who's the young guy who's driving about and causing trouble?

I found Cooper's confusion and standing by the statue for hours quite sad and moving. It sort of reminded me of when my granny got Alzheimers - that sense of being a stranger in the world when you're actually not. I hope Kyle McLachlan gets some recognition for his performance.

And Diane is Laura Dern!!

It is bloody slow, though. Can't wait for Coop to get back to Twin Peaks!

It was only when I read a great and funny review about it that I twigged Diane was DIANE!!! Of the tapes. I totally missed that. I also thought Naomi Watts was amazing, wiping the floor with the debt collectors!

Yeah NW is brilliant Piff, she is a brilliant comic actress, something I certainly wouldn't have thought of her in the past.

I'm rewatching from the beginning again to try to understand everything and I have to say it does help.

Stuff I've noticed;

Good Cooper knocks away the murderous little man with the same ease that bad Cooper knocked down a man in the first episode. No doubt this has something to do with the black lodge?

What happened to Diane when bad Cooper visited her?

I think it does all make sense or most of it will become clear. I keep watching bits and then something clicks.

It's nice to see a strong woman on our screens I do love Albert though. He was class in the first batch. So sad Miguel Ferrer has passed now.

AgentCooper you're spot on. It is like watching someone with dementia. I find it really difficult even though I absolutely love all aspects of TP.

I'm in a couple of Facebook groups and the minutiae people are noticing is incredible. Yesterday someone posted that they think Bad Cooper's hair bobble () thing is actually original Cooper's lapel pin. The workings of David Lynch's mind are incredible!!!

I am not sure Cooper will ever get back to Twin Peaks - it won't happen until he's had a showdown with evil Cooper imo

Does anyone know if there's a way to watch 'Fire Walk With Me' in the UK? Apparently it's a big help in understanding season 3...

I hope that no one thought that last nights episode was anything other than a break from normal TP while David Lynch relived a nightmare he had the night before. Normal programming will resume next week...

I've tried watching last nigh'ts episode but even with curtains drawn I couldn't make out what was going on. Will try again tonight with TV brightness turned up.

I've never seen "Fire Walk With Me" and it does seem to be necessary to have done so. I've looked on the internet and for some people this episode made lots of sense! They were referencing the film though.

Last nights episode was not a break from TP although it was kind of hard going in a sense. It came across like an old horror movie.

My view is that the atomic test signalled the birth of the black lodge. This episode I think attempts to show how Laura Palmer and Bob have a destiny which will collide. I also think the young girl might be agent Coopers mother. The zombie men were obviously people who had been damaged by the radiation.

This was my take on things. It was a necessary episode to understand I think.

By this time next week I'm determined to have watched Fire Walk With Me!

Definitely. I was thinking maybe Sarah Palmer as she could always see Bob? Don't know if the timeline works out or not? Had any luck finding fire walk with me. I got it on bluray from HMV :)

I don't have a blu ray DVD player so will have to try to get an ordinary one.

Not able to watch this as we don't have Sky but I was obsessed with the first two series as a teenager.

Where is Audrey in this? I rather hoped she and agent Cooper would get together. I had a bit of a girl crush on Sherilyn Fenn back then.

The images and sounds were similar to those in the episodes where the young couple were killed by the mysterious black figure. Good Cooper had fallen through this 'space' in his way back from the black lodge (and appeared in the massive empty box for a while)
