Unless you there you don't know anything for sure

high5sportsnutrition · 14/05/2017 18:37

oh fgs I can't believe anon that you would dismiss the death of Portia's father like that? She would still have been in deep shock, you cannot judge any situation like that.

susanboozan · 14/05/2017 18:38

@anon

The Mcs said it was within the bounds of responsible parenting to leave the kids but check regularly, so I guess they are right.

SouthWestmom · 14/05/2017 18:46

Anon1987 when my baby had meningitis I had Dominos delivered to the isolation room. Didn't realise that meant I wasn't bothered about him.

Tulips - shoot them now. They didn't eat with their kids. Fucking outrageous.

Styturnip · 14/05/2017 18:52

(Obviously) my point was that it doesn't make me a better person or parent just because I fell apart and stopped eating in the face of tragedy. To think otherwise is truly unimaginative.

PortiaCastis · 14/05/2017 18:53

As I said unless you were there you know nothing

Styturnip · 14/05/2017 18:54

Quite Portia

anon1987 · 14/05/2017 18:54

NotYoda why don't you grow up

anon1987 · 14/05/2017 19:03

Susan your posts read as though on some level you're actually glad this happened so that you can gloat about the negligence of the parents.

Really? FFS

@Styturnip

Turn that around to your own judgment of others. I do not need to defend myself.

Have you any comments on my posts other than your own arrogant judgmental thinking of posters? Thanks.

hollyisalovelyname · 14/05/2017 19:45

On similar type holidays ( similar to Mark Warner but not a Mark Warner holiday)
I was gobsmacked by the middle / upper middle class English British parents who brought their children on holiday but saw so little of them.
Probably both parents worked full time, but this was the family holiday, and yet the babies / little children were put in crèche / day care, all day so Mum and Dad could enjoy all the facilities.
I really didn't like it.
Family holiday- spend time with your family.
When we were abroad the children joined kid's clubs but we ate together and had time together.
I apologise if I sound holier than thou but it was a culture shock.
I am not British.

Your post makes no sense other than your arrogant assumption that your provocative comments will be glossed over in the heat of the discussion.

Randomers are exactly the sort of people who carry out abductions, susan. That's effectively the way Brady and Hindley operated, for instance.

They also had them for a couple of hours over lunch. And picked them up at 5, to do bath, stories etc
I can't believe the shameful judging of some of the last few posts. Some of you are positively gloating and enjoying this. 'Those stuck up doctors got what they deserved' type of thing.
Shameful, once you are perfect parents come back and say that but until that point i think 'there for the grace of God go I' would be more appropriate

Beingrippedoff · 14/05/2017 19:53

holly you used the kids club, how awful. Every moment should have been spent showering attention on your children. How could you?
Hmm

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 14/05/2017 19:53

HQ are quick off the mark tonight.

Ceto · 14/05/2017 19:54

Tulips, listening services at that time and in that type of resort generally worked on the basis of a staff member walking around and listening outside people's doors. As that was what the McCanns and their friends were doing anything, it's hardly a big deal that they didn't use the service.
