They're framing it slightly differently now.. 😧 interesting from the bbc...

Yes I am.

1stDinkyDecker · 03/05/2017 21:19

nope. From what I've gathered it seems it can't be mentioned on here, so I'll refrain from commenting

MyBeloved · 03/05/2017 21:21

I'm watching. I agree that it seems a bit of a departure from the normal party line reporting.

1happyhippie · 03/05/2017 21:21

Yes I am too.

BeyondStrongAndStable · 03/05/2017 21:22

I wasn't, but I am now

WindyScales · 03/05/2017 21:22

So far this seems to be quite a different slant to what I've seen before.

BeyondStrongAndStable · 03/05/2017 21:22

What did I miss?

AuntieStella · 03/05/2017 21:22

It can be mentioned upon here.

But all speculation will be deleted, which tends to lead to Swiss-cheese threads which may as well go.

As what happened to her is unknown, the general line (IIRC over the years) is that this site is about being supportive towards parents, including these ones.

RedCrab · 03/05/2017 21:23

I think they're just playing out both the scenarios from the Portuguese and British police - so after this, they'll show the British police's theory.

Notsosmartagain · 03/05/2017 21:24

Me! The tide does seem to be turning. Reminds me of the JonBenet Ramsey case. Tragic that no one has paid for whatever happened to those little girls.

spottysuperted · 03/05/2017 21:25

Perhaps it's framed this way because they didn't want to take part? It does seem different to usual

I think we're allowed to discuss a BBC documentary.

It's very interesting.

HalfShellHero · 03/05/2017 21:26

I think people are starting to wake up arent they? Ive noticed it definitely in the last year. That's all ill say but i am watching.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 03/05/2017 21:26

I think they're just presenting both sides...

anyadviceformee · 03/05/2017 21:27

I'm watching - very i interesting 🤔

PacificDogwod · 03/05/2017 21:27

Reluctantly, I am.

I wish the publicity about this would die down so those directly involved could get on with a. their lives or b. finding a definitive resolution.

By seven degrees of seperation, I 'know' Gerry (I don't, but I know somebody who knows somebody etc etc...) AND my DS2 was born in the same month as M, and somehow both of those facts make is almost unbearable to dwell on too long Sad

FreeNiki · 03/05/2017 21:27

Nope. She is one missing child in thousands or more, there is bugger all I can do about it and I have bigger things to worry me as do the metropolitan police

HateSummer · 03/05/2017 21:27

I'm watching. They're showing both investigations so they'll show the British theory next. The window thing has me a bit Hmm. If the patio was unlocked, someone could've come in that way.

LornaD40 · 03/05/2017 21:28

Me too!

Notsosmartagain · 03/05/2017 21:29

What surprises me watching it back is how composed they were in all the tv interviews. It just seems alien to me that they were not completely inconsolable especially at the outset. I get that people deal with grief and shock in different ways but there was so little emotion from either of them.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 03/05/2017 21:29

"The tide is turning" Hmm Are you watching the same programme?

The programme is debunking the initial investigation piece by piece.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 03/05/2017 21:29

The tide is turning to what? Confused

TheHiphopopotamus · 03/05/2017 21:30

I'm watching.

It's quite a different take on it from usual, I'll give it that.

JaneEyre70 · 03/05/2017 21:30

I never heard the bit about the cadaver dogs before. Interestingly there was a murder case local to us where the dogs indicated that a body had been in a house......and several years later the man confessed to killing his wife there. Poor little Maddie, I still feel very sad hearing her name Sad.

LineysRun · 03/05/2017 21:31

That's a bit of a revelation about the 'McCann Camp' from the journalist.
