Also, last series, when stuff happened , Hastings had everyone and their dog in for questioning.

What haven't Roz's team ever been hauled into AC-12??

tribpot · 24/04/2017 08:24

Yes, it would have been a lot more credible if n00b JamieNotJames had told Maneet about all the different passwords he had to remember in a new office and how he'd written them down. Although on Scott & Bailey the police log in using their warrant cards as a smartcard, I thought I had seen that on LoD in previous series - didn't Steve borrow someone's card and that's why he was implicated on the end of the last series?

Iamtheresurrection · 24/04/2017 08:24

Husband reckons Jamie knows about the password etc but decided it was a good chance to escape the sinking ship.

Elendon · 24/04/2017 08:26

Maybe it's all got something to do with H from Steps...

It would be a tragedy if it was.

I loved the link to Den of Geek Smile

Elendon · 24/04/2017 08:29

I thought Jamie took over from Arnott? It was clear his interviewing skills were not as honed as Steve's though.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 24/04/2017 08:32

Elendon - any chance that's all a set up do you think? His incompetence all seems a bit unlikely to me. He's been put into AC12 for a reason (Steve was put in because he had 'messed up' an anti terror operation, for example) We have never been told where Jamie came from.

Keppoch · 24/04/2017 08:33

Adrian Dunbar is on BBC Breakfast this morning

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 24/04/2017 08:36

In the first series, Hastings took a lot of fatherly interest in Steve. he checked whether he was Steven or Steve the first time he met him and took him to the pub and stuff.

It's a deliberate and direct counterpoint with Jamie, who Hastings has never seemed to like : but I need to know why!!!!

Is there a huge conspiracy by many many people to make sure Hastings becomes the H to protect the REAL H ??

Butterymuffin · 24/04/2017 08:36

Adrian Dunbar on BBC1 in five minutes! (8.40)

Elendon · 24/04/2017 08:36

I think Huntley will end up forced into retirement and that Hilton will be further promoted. It'll be her side kick young detective who will get the shot in the line of duty.

peukpokicuzo · 24/04/2017 08:38

I thought Jamie was brought in as Steve was being promoted.

DispatchReady · 24/04/2017 08:47

Ok I'll let the username thing slide. And yes I wondered if he didn't protest as he's undercover there or something and thought best to get out. We don't know where he came from, I rewatched his introduction and it wasn't said. Hmmmm...

Wonder if we will see what happened to Tim?!

There's a lot to wrap up in the final episode...hope it's not daft.

onedayatatime73 · 24/04/2017 08:50

Can anyone link to next week's trailer? I can't find it.

And what has Hilton got on Maneet. Doesn't make sense.

Do we know who the father of her baby is?

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 24/04/2017 08:52

Ooh, just iPlayered to relevant scene: JnotJ's new password is "pacemakers" ??

Ceto · 24/04/2017 08:56

Sure, you can leave hospital at any time in her case the infection she has would not be under control without IV AB for at least a few days

But Roz has a track record of ignoring medical advice and thinking she can overcome infection through willpower. Plus she's presumably fighting for her career and her liberty and thinks the risk is worth it.

Elendon · 24/04/2017 08:58

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I luffs Hastings. Adrian Dunbar is ACE!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/04/2017 09:01

No sane person would self-discharge from hospital mere hours after having their lower arm amputated!

I'm intrigued as to what will happen next. Hopefully the trailer will appear online today!

JBH316 · 24/04/2017 09:02

Jamie was brought in to help Steve because Kate was undercover. Can't believe next week is the last one sobs

Elendon · 24/04/2017 09:02

Loved the bingo card game but it did lack the word reciprocity.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 24/04/2017 09:04

pacemakers! That's it!! Interesting...

I know that's 'why' Jamie ostensibly was brought in. I just don't buy it - and Hastings really doesn't like something about him. he never made an effort with him. I wonder if it's because he's 'from the south'

Elendon · 24/04/2017 09:05

But Huntley didn't discharge herself mere hours after the amputation. It was after three days - she's obviously on a mission to save her ass and has been since the beginning of this series methinks

Elendon · 24/04/2017 09:08

Ilikebeans

I think the answer to your question is on the spoilers thread.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 24/04/2017 09:10

Which one? I have so many!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/04/2017 09:13

I dunno, in the scheme of seriousness, 3 days is seriously premature after an amputation, hence describing it as I did.

She'd barely come round before discharging herself!

wowfudge · 24/04/2017 09:24

The IT stuff doesn't ring true. DP is a civil servant (in nothing nearly as exciting as the AC12 office) and he reckons it would have been impossible to view Dot's dying declaration never mind copy it onto a USB drive without some sort of higher level clearance.

Hilton is worried he's going to be exposed as corrupt, hence trying to shut down AC12 and he's doing that by going for Hastings. In previous series Ted has always seemed a bit shady, but in this one he clearly isn't.

Did they really never actually find Jackie Laverty's body? I can't remember. If not, how does Steve know the state of the tissues?

I think in this series the key is who and what the dead women knew.
