Excellent ending. Hastings definitely not big baddie as he was subordinate to Hilton.
I love proper endings. I don't mind the odd loose thread (like who is the big baddie) but hate it when the series has no closure and is just a platform for the next series.
It's like books (Game of Thrones series I'm thinking of you) when the books don't stand independently but you just feel the writer decided he'd written enough and would save the rest for the next book and nothing gets concluded.

Oooo loved it, although annoyed Maneet situation was unresolved, and no Jamie update. Did a fist pump when Jimmy Lakewell said Balaclava Men and linked them back to trafficked women, I guessed that one last week.

I put it to you Feral that you allegedly had a flight arriving at Gatwick and wanted to put a stop to Marilyn's LOD viewing by needing a stopover at said time and were in fact wearing balaclavas and amputated your own arm just for effect.

I spotted the location of Hilton's "suicide" as being the same as Oliver"s "suicide". And I don't know if it's been mentioned but wasn't there a rifle there? Afaik it's impossible to shoot herself through the head with a rifle?

Speaking of amputated arms... That was a bit clumsily done, in the hospital. You could see her arm through the sling, several times. I'm sure it's a tricky thing to do, but I'm surprised they couldn't do better, even so. I'm loving the voices of Ted and Roz on this thread, not going to try and emulate as I couldn't pull it off!

Roz is iron woman, up and about the day after sepsis and amputation. Clearing a crime scene with a head injury. Killing the man who is wielding the power saw...

LOD is the TV equivalent of eating too much cheese before bed. Did not sleep a wink! So many possibilities for more series...

So so far-Tony Gates was corrupt, Lindsay Denton was, tried to back out, uncovered The Caddy.

Roz Huntley-being unknowingly(?)manipulated by others to frame Farmer. Killed Ifield.

Does anyone else think there has to be more to the Roz arc? I was astounded when she just broke down and 'fessed up - that's the last thing I'd have expected from her. But, as someone said, she did say her children need a parent so she may have decided to take the rap for damage limitation purposes. She's always been one step ahead, and I find it very difficult to believe she isn't still. Why was she so keen to go after Michael Farmer? That's a separate issue from Ifield (whose death stems from him questioning her take on this). Hope I'm not asking dumb questions!

Why was the pregnant copper involved with the download of the H material under Jamie's log in. If Jamie was involved with Hilton why didn't Hilton just go straight to Jamie?

Maneet was on BBC Breakfast and said her pregnancy was written in for her . She doesn't know the backstory , one for series 5 !

Jamie wasn't involved with Hilton until he was falsely accused . So a way of Hilton getting Jamie inside was Maneet using his ID then Hilton could swoop in .

It was terrible. I'm sick of Jed Mercurio. Ashley Pharoah was another one.
