Let's go onwards with our intriguing or madcap theories, people...

I liked the ending and the implication that Alec and Daisy will stay and life will go on, and Leo will be punished and Michael too. I wonder if Trish blames Leo more? I hope Mark can find some inner peace, away from Broadchurch.

Too rushed in the end I think. Should have been an hour and a half.

What a crock of shit!
The rape scene was very gratuitous and unbelievable.
All your suggested endings on here were so much better!

Where was the tom was the real killer? Who thought that orange coat was fashionable ?
That was shocking and made me weep in places. Might have to watch again? Too many holes

Why did the taxi driver have the keys? Still a lot of answers!

Aw shall miss David Tennant and Olivia Colman. Didn't like how they harped on about the latimers and the vicar and journalist were unnecessary

Internet kept being dodgy, when Leo let Michael 'borrow' his GF (at least that explains one of the other favours he owed her) did they have sex? I was wondering if it was going to be a trick to humiliate him further.

I was astounded by Leo's honesty, so matter of fact.

I cried a lot in that last part, but was a bit disappointed with the unanswered questions about Leo's history and I thought maybe there'd be some revelation about his other victims or how he had started down that road.

I did grin at the return of the orange coat though - that was definitely there for us obsessives original viewers!

How could Leo film himself raping ?

So it was all about the men in the end. Their feelings amongst the one who was an aberration. Because, as we all know, it's not all men.

I 'enjoyed' it. Not the right word . I think we need to assume that people's lives will be changed forever due to the actions of a twisted psycho sexual predator, like Handbag says.

I really do think they did a good job of dispelling rape myths, and addressing issues arisen from porn culture like girls such as Daisy go through.

Interesting that Michael watched extreme porn then shared it round, went to call on Daisy after seeing her naked picture, raped Trish. A previously quite innocent boy. It shows good young men can turn horrific and disrespectful of women from exposure to extreme porn.

I'm not disappointed by the end. Any other daft twist would've been silly. However I wish he'd have gone to the pub with Miller the miserable gorgeous sod

I do think Michael was a victim too.
Bloody old Hardy, not going for a drink!
So sad about Mark Latimer.
Just as authentic as showing an accurate picture of rape.
It's only 3 years, his son murdered, so many couples break up in the vicious trail of loss and grief.
It was a trilogy, starting with the murder of Danny, an event which has loomed over all their lives as the cliff looms over the beach.

I still don't understand why Leo wanted Michael involved. Or why Michael let himself be involved- right from the having sex with Leo's girlfriend bit. It was very unbelievable.

In a way it was "good" there was no reason behind the rape- there was nothing about Trish that made her the victim over anyone else, just wrong place wrong time. And there was no reason why Leo was a rapist- no excuses, no family history etc as I guess that fits better with the whole educational-about-rape theme of the series. But it made for a rubbish ending to the series. Basically if you think about it, it was a series where nothing happened.

I thought that was excellent.

I started to cry when Leo said "it's just sex, they've had sex before' - a very unnuanced way of how so many people view rape. Chilling

Burn it was all about power and control of someone else. Leo got kicks out of controlling Michael, and his girlfriend who "did what she was told".

The final scene with Hardy and Miller, I was almost waiting for Mark Latimer's van to come careering over the cliff behind them! So glad it didn't.

I'm so angry.

I thought it was going to be Ian who had groomed Leo into the porn in the first place and who had maybe filmed him and he had then set them up to attack Trish. So sad it's ended. Think we need to start a MN petition to get it back ....

Didn't enjoy this series at all. It's not been anywhere near as good as the previous ones.

I thought it was really good. Loved Hardy and Miller at the end. No mushy matey matey stuff. True to form.

Didn't like the involvement of Michael: found that unrealistic.

Taxi-driving stepdad was emotionally abusive to his wife and Michael, too, so it also seems unlikely that he'd cover for his stepson, unless perhaps out of guilt for treating him so badly.

I kept waiting for one final revelation about Leo/Michael so I'm a bit disappointed there wasn't.

I am pleased they delved into the topic of grooming/control but also annoyed that they still in a round about way made rape about sex when you can't get someone to willingly sleep with you. I'm not wording that very well.
