How old are you guys, out of interest? I love this show, I'm absolutely gripped. BIL who I don't like anyway said it's an 'old people's' show! I'm breathless through each episode, and can't wait for the next one. What demographic is it aiming at, do you reckon?

I wondered about Cath a while back, but not so sure now. It fits with the fact that in the early episodes there was so much emphasis on the number of men at the party, and how it could have been one of a long list of men to have done it.
I'm not so sure now. However it doesn't fit with the fact this appears to be the third of three violent rapes.

OTOH - lightbulb moment - what if Jim is responsible for the first 2 rapes - Cath knew this and wanted him put away, and staged Trish's rape to frame Jim (and get revenge on Trish for sleeping with DH) ?

I hope it's not that, I still prefer Taxi with some involvement from Rope Boy.

I'm not sure that would be a satisfactory conclusion though, if it was Cath.

Do you remember how Cath was awkward with Trish straight after it happened? Didn't go straight to her?

Though I think that was one of the truths around this series, how people are with difficult things like rape.

But I think Cath suspected Jim all along. Or harbours dark suspicions or knowledge about him.

I thought Kath's reaction initially was strange. She was supposed to be Trish's best friend and Trish had just gone through a horrendous rape.
Mind you Trish wasn't much of a friend sleeping with Jim. ( understatement of the year)

There were a lot of meaningful looks through windows and ominous music between Cath and Jim in the first few episodes. I take a lot of cues from that music . IIRC Cath was looking out of the window when Jim pulled up outside, music starts, then box of condoms revealed in glove box. She definitely knows something explosive about him but I'm not sure if that is that he is a rapist. There is a real hard edge to the Cath character and I think Sarah Parish plays her really well. Not sure she would be implicated though. Do we know that the Jim and Trish sex was the first and only time on the morning of the party? Could something have been going on before and Cath suspected, hence her coolness with Trish?

Cath was trying to contact Trish by text but didn't go round in person - as PP said, probably a common reaction in face of rape, a bit like how people are around the bereaved. Sad

If the writers have worked closely with rape organisations and are using this series to challenge rape myths, etc, then it won't be Cath.

I dont know how they are going t tie everything up in one episode.

  1. Who lives in the house on the grounds of the party venue
  2. Where is the second cricket bat?
  3. Why does the taxi driver have her keyring?
  4. Whats the dodge between Taxi Driver and Jim?
  5. Whats hapening about Millers son and the porn?
  6. Whats happening with Hardys daughter and the pics
  7. Who raped Trish?
  8. Why is LH so dodge?
  9. Is prior rape man involved at all.

All that in 60 mins.

There is an awful lot to tie up in last episode I don't think we'll get all the answers.

I'm 44 but I was talking to someone in their 20's yesterday who is watching and excited for finale.

I hope it's not Cath for that reason. On the other hand I believe such orgs have already criticised the series for showing Beth harassing a rape victim. It would be outrageous though if it was Cath

Yes I read an article by a real life rape victim. It praised the show for its attempts to dispel myths but also said that how good the police were with Trish is how it SHOULD be but rarely is that she experienced victim blame, harsh questioning etc
