I'm cringing.

I feel for the 'poor' family. Like 'here's what you'll never have'.

I don't really get the point to be honest.

I'm watching.

The poor family seem really nice. They're hard working.

They're gonna be living the high life! Good for them.

£1700 for one week - how lovely must that be?!

The young family seem to have beautifully behaved children ...Come across as a lovely family ,they all do actually

Poor dad is so lovely!

Do people really have three washing machines?!

Rich family dad seems like a really nice guy as well!

I have only seen the last ten mins but I like that they all seem lovely so far.

I tnink of myself as the rich family but then they talk about house prices and ours is less than the poor family one.

How you feel about your lot has to come into things surely?

I'm watching. I live in the poor town and have taught in the school on the council estate featured yet went to secondary school in the rich area and had friends who lived in houses like that!
Both families seem lovely so far.

They all seem lovely. I do hope there isn't a twist and some kind of confrontation ensues.

Channel 5 do like a bit of poverty porn.

I'd love to have three washing machines and a dog shower! (I don't have a dog but still..)

I think they're both nice families, in their own way. I hope they get to meet at the end and talk about the week.

Since reading that Ben Fogle has 3 dishwashers, 1 never seems enough.

I need two. One clean one dirty. Dh disagrees!

I know people with swimming pools but not 3 washing machines is that a thing?

Both families seem lovely. "Poor" dad needs a break he's intelligent, resilient especially given his upbringing and he knows the value of family. I hope something positive comes of it

They are all so lovely but i do feel bad for the 'poor' family who have a taste of what they could never afford. I want them to have all that stuff too.
(Hate to say I have 2 washing machines though but do have 4 kids, the washing still never ends!!)

What does the rich dad do for a living i wondered?

It would be nice if the rich dad used his contacts to get the poor one a break.

The rich one set up his own software company. He sold it off and retired early.

What did the £1700 a week budget have to pay for? Mortgage? School fees? Other bills? Food????

They're all coming across really well I think.

£1700 was after everything, all mortgage, schools fees, all bills paid. So 'to spend' on going out etc
