How did Carrie hear that Javadi was being kidnapped? Through a phone I know, but is that some clever technology? Did Javadi just dial her behind his back - in which case how did she transfer it to Saul?

intheknickersoftime · 26/03/2017 22:14

I think it's ubiquitous on most news websites. They really commit to the trollery. I made one comment on the channel 4 website about Marine le Pen and was told i was i was unattractive, a lesbian (not bothered about that but it was used as an insult) an idiot. That was by three separate people who could easily have been the same person. It was an innocuous comment, i was shocked and stayed off Facebook for a bit. It's their modus operandi. Stops you from saying what you think. I definitely believe the current storyline reflects the truth.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:14

why were you fucking a spy/why were you fucking a traitor?"

Yeah I thought that's a bit rich coming from you Carrie! Grin

I think javadi just called her but I wondered why on earth he would call her!

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:14

Javadi did dial behind his back. With his spy superpowers.

Travelledtheworld · 26/03/2017 22:17

That's nasty knickers.
That explains a lot of the reactions I see on American left wing political forums, where I wouldn't normally expect right wingers to be hanging out.

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:18

Russia has long been known to pay Internet trolls to say nice things about Putin ("but he's so popular in Russia..." - likely paid troll; and I've seen these around).
Not only pay, but to have similar large buildings where they work.
Some other groups are likely to have such discreet troll houses.

SoulAccount · 26/03/2017 22:20

What did the PE say as she leaned in towards him? That was the moment he twigged.

Was that woolly hat he called?

I guess Quinn had Astrid 'a phone, which would be full Spy Tech. Full German Spy Tech.

I think they got back to the PE via her Chief of Staff: he was in on the update because he prompted them to introduce the info about Sekou and the van.

UnGoogleable · 26/03/2017 22:21

I think Quinn is obviously severely disabled, but still has the tech / black ops skills - does it automatically.

I too only knew about sock puppets from MN Grin - had to explain it to DH. Scary to think that there really are rooms full of nerds (or more likely many nerds in their bedrooms) being paid to spread shite on the internet.

Dar really is a slimy old shit isn't he. Poor Quinn. Glad he heard the truth on his batphone.

And now for my prediction. Psychologist told Carrie he had to put Frannie first sometimes. Carrie has a visit scheduled with her for 3pm the following day. There's a reason we heard the time so specifically. Something will happen to make Carrie late for the meeting thus proving her to be the distracted shite mother that she is.

and Brodie is alive oh yes he is

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:24

Something will happen to make Carrie late for the meeting thus proving her to be the distracted shite mother that she is.

Yep I think that's pretty much guaranteed. Carrie will not put frannie first. Her job always comes first. When is her sister back from Rome?

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:25

They're not nerds. They're more like those people on telesales. Yes, next time you meet someone who says they have that job, you may wonder if you've argued with them over facebook anonymously.

Proper nerds would have known how to fix that bug.

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:27

It's hard to put your child first when your job is to save humankind.
She needs a house husband. Preferably ginger.

BenjaminLinus · 26/03/2017 22:38

What happened to the other ginger bloke (that may not have been ginger) - did he just leave her? It was around the time of Quinn and the cucumber and I may have been distracted.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:39

Jonas?

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:44

He didn't want to put his child at risk. Because trouble follows Carrie.
He has a point.
Families of such TV characters often have a nasty end.

SoulAccount · 26/03/2017 22:44

Oh, yes, she will SO miss that appointment.

Is Carrie not supposed to be doing an actual job? For the Foundation? She is certainly stretching her JD.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:45

Yes she's going to get called into her managers office soon if she doesn't show up to work!

intheknickersoftime · 26/03/2017 22:46

The other ginger bloke!!! You can't be referring to the delicious Jonas in that flippant way!

IhatchedaSnorlax · 26/03/2017 22:46

I don't remember another ginger bloke?

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:48

She's saving the USofA and you people want her to keep appointments and ordinary jobs?

UnGoogleable · 26/03/2017 22:50

Proper nerds would have known how to fix that bug Good point. I guess that's why they were so impressed with Max's CV

Can someone remind me of the Quinn cucumber thing? Was it that he just had a cucumber in his room when hiding out, or something? Sigh, I hope Quinn didn't lose the use of his cucumber with his partial paralysis.

Yeah, Carrie seems to have completely forgotten about her job now! And yeah, she'll end up putting the safety of the free world before her child again and Frannie will be taken off her.

Was anyone else relieved when she was talking to the PE and actually said what she needed to say, clearly and coherently, like a proper CIA agent for the first time with no wobbly chin?

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:52

Grin lewji

You know I reckon Carrie has chalked up enough points on her "saving the country" (and Berlin as well!) board to be able to get a regular job and see her daughter at 3pm.

UnGoogleable · 26/03/2017 22:53

And there was another random ginger bloke who she met in an offie, or somewhere, and took home and shagged.

She likes the ginger does Carrie.

Maybe Brodie will be her house husband when he comes back Hmm

Did anyone else notice Javadi's comment that if Iran found out he was a traitor he'd be 'swinging from a crane'.... LOTS of Brodie references in this episode.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:54

Was anyone else relieved when she was talking to the PE and actually said what she needed to say, clearly and coherently, like a proper CIA agent for the first time with no wobbly chin?

I was a bit shocked by that whole scene. They all managed to stand together in the same room and say everything that needed to be said and PE came to the right conclusion. It's almost unheard of in homeland land.

UnGoogleable · 26/03/2017 22:55

Yeah me too - PE believed her, and everything. No mention of the mega awks drunken phonecall a few nights before.

Lweji · 26/03/2017 23:00

ZilphasHatpin
You'd think she had, but with experience comes responsibility.

Nobody else can do what she can. The world needs her.
