Previous Homeland thread - new thread for the sake of inter-episode tidiness.

I'm surprised nobody in that meeting thought about the possibility that Dar could have had a hand in keeping Frannie from Carrie.
Although it's rather convenient that Carrie doesn't have to worry so much about things like school pick ups.

When max went to his desk the guy said he had lost 2200 sock puppets and asked if he thought he could handle it?

Travelledtheworld · 26/03/2017 21:52

Yes, but what are they ?????

Lweji · 26/03/2017 21:52

Confessional scene at the start with the psychologist (?).
That camera shot of Carrie telling about her initial feelings about her daughter.

intheknickersoftime · 26/03/2017 21:55

Have you got it now travelled? Grin

PickleSarnie · 26/03/2017 21:55

I came on here hoping someone could explain the significance of the Iran deal too namechanger. I'm totally baffled.

Lweji · 26/03/2017 21:55

Sock puppets is when the same person has different Internet identities. But it's usually more specifically when they are used to argue or agree with eachother.

I kept thinking of this episode this week in the aftermath of the Westminster attack. It wouldn't surprise me if some threads had a few paid trolls.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 21:56

I didn't think it comical. I was half MNing though. All I could hear was BRODIE! Grin What did you think odd about it?

intheknickersoftime · 26/03/2017 21:56

They're all spreading right wing hate in social media. The same people under different psuedonyms.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 26/03/2017 21:57

Oh!

BenjaminLinus · 26/03/2017 21:57

Fuck!

BenjaminLinus · 26/03/2017 21:58

Noooooo

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 26/03/2017 21:58

The snake.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 21:58

So do these people basically get paid to pretend to be other people who are right wing radicals on loads of different chat forums?

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 21:59

Dar knows he's burnt

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 21:59

How's did he know.? She gave something away in her behaviour with him. What was it?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 26/03/2017 21:59

Yes, spreading propaganda.

BenjaminLinus · 26/03/2017 22:00

Ahhh, so quin just wanted woolly hat

Travelledtheworld · 26/03/2017 22:00

Wooo hoo GO QUINN.

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:01

Yes. It can be fun to spot probable such trolls. The Trump threads up to the end of the year are a good study ground. So are the Brexit ones.

Travelledtheworld · 26/03/2017 22:02

knickers thanks. Yes.

Lweji · 26/03/2017 22:02

She gave something away in her behaviour with him. What was it?

She was too nice and chatty.

Travelledtheworld · 26/03/2017 22:03

Zilpha I though the president elect was exuding power.
Dar just knew she knew.

ZilphasHatpin · 26/03/2017 22:04

Wow! I knew about sock puppets but I didn't think there was actually organised and paid for sock puppetry on such a scale!! I thought it was just individuals working alone in their spare time.

Hassled · 26/03/2017 22:06

Good old Quinn and good old Max. But so many plot-holes - one week Saul and Carrie are persona non grata with the PE, then they suddenly have an audience. Quinn is a PTSD-survivor who can barely string a sentence together, then he has the wherewithal to have enough tech in his car to listen to Dar's phonecall. I did like the Saul/Carrie exchange on the park bench - "why were you fucking a spy/why were you fucking a traitor?" :o
