I thought taxi driver possibly had the keys so he could let himself into Trish's but then why did she mention that they'd gone for a drink if she didn't want to admit to a relationship? I'm so confused.I have no idea who the rapist is.
Trish's ex is making my skin crawl. I did wonder if that was who she had sex with and she didn't want to say because he has a new gf and she didn't want her DD to think they were going to get back together . . .

I think Trish's ex husband wasn't talking about his own laptop as he asked if Leo could remove whatever was on it remotely, which suggests he doesn't have the laptop himself.

Im seriously wondering (might be a bit bonkers, but here goes) whether Miller's son was the murderer in first series, his dad Joe took the rap for him. Now son has gone further and raped Trish? There was stuff about hidden computer in first series and the writer wrote the 3 series as a trilogy! (Feel free to think I'm stupid Grin )

ADoctor I think the possibility that the son was involved was hinted at in previous series, then discounted, but it is still a possibility. But I hope he's not the rapist.

I don't understand why neither the school nor OC deleted the material from the phone. My theory is they found "standard" downloaded porn on it (i.e. Stuff obviously obtained from the net) and did delete it, but failed to uncover the other stuff which he showed his friend after he retrieved it. And the other stuff will be illicit recordings of local people which the son has somehow got hold of. And possibly of Hardy's DD?Shock although hopefully not.

The audio for the clip that Ellie's son showed the other lad (who is the taxi driver's step son?) sounded like both parties were willing participants, so I wouldn't have thought that particular clip was trish's attack.
I agree with pps - I reckon it's something to do with a teacher. Trish's ex husband straight away said his new girlfriend was a geography teacher so perhaps there's a link with that? He is an unfortunately shifty looking lad though, definitely something odd about him and I reckon he's got a role in this crime somewhere.
I'm not so sure about the sex party theory after ep3 as I would have thought there might have been at least a hint by now that it was more than just a party. Plus trish's ex originally said he got a taxi back with the hostess's cousin or auntie- now I'm not very experienced at swinging, but I doubt one invites their immediate family to get jiggy at a sex party???
Trish's ex is obviously going to be suspected of it due to his blanking out and his lies about what happened.
I still think the gloved hand that picked up the rope and bag at the end of ep1 was a female- something about the slimness of the wrist and the way it picked it up seemed feminine to me.

Disclaimer- I am terrible at guessing in these situations. Ignore all my suggestions!!

I can't decide about the sex party angle. I think Cath said something in the last episode about it being a 'certain' kind of party but without elaborating on what that meant.

The one who plays Trish's friend, who had the party, it was bugging me what she had been in before - ended up having to look her up and it was like ' oh her!' i hate that when it happens as i spend all the time trying to place them in other things and then lose the thread of what i am meant to be watching and the men in this one all seem to look the same as well!

People yy that was the comment. I couldn't decide if it meant the party was a sex party hence surprising that people would be raped (although obviously rape isn't about sex). Or if she just meant, a party full of friends hence surprising that someone would be attacked. I automatically went for the former because of the posts on here about it being a sex party.

I can't remember what Trish's ex does for a living He's a teacher. The police interviewed him at the school.

I think he's had tracking software put on Trish's computer. He's not her rapist.

I'm quite sure Trish's Saturday man was Kath's husband. I don't think he raped her.

I don't know how Kath didn't dump the plate of pasta over his head after his 'again' comment.

Would a local vicar really be that involved in punishment for schoolkids? And would the kids actually do what he told them to? It seemed a bit old-fashioned.

The taxi driver didn't really study medicine, I'm sure; he's quite dim (unless he's putting on a good act). Is he a fantasist and it was a cock and bull story he told his wife to impress her when they first met?

The taxi driver told the police he picked up a fare from the road (illegally, which is why he hadn't wanted to tell them at first.) Did they follow that up? He said the guy was in his 30s. I got the impression he didn't know him. Could he have been a stranger ie not one of the men we've met so far? And was he Trish's rapist, invited to the party, maybe as a paying guest if it was an organised sex party?

I think the police thought he was lying about the fair because someone else said they saw his taxi parked in the car park at the time when he said he was taking the illegal hire back.

I really don't know who the rapist was then. I think all the men are shifty/pathetic/guilty of/lying about something, but I don't think so far that any of them are the rapist.

In the first episode, didn't they say there were 50 men at the party and about 20 women? That was a bit odd. And would make it a strange kind of swingers' party, unless some of the men were gay.

Just thought: would Ellie not know her son's friends? Why has she not joined the dots and realised that he's friends with the son of the dodgy taxi driver?

The large number of men at the party was particularly odd seeing as it was the woman's birthday party - surely you'd expect more female friends than male. I don't think the police have commented on it being unusual have they?

They might remark on it now they have seen the list drawn up on those weird glass screens that they use now ( what happened to flip charts and big smelly marker pens eh?)
it was nice to see a woman actually eating something and getting hungry ( i thought that was just me these days!) usually its the men cops that eat the scotch eggs not the women!

I did, then she just gave him the egg bit to hold when she answered her phone! mind you, i hate scotch eggs and eggs in general - a nice pork pie is my tasty snack of choice ( not very healthy i know)
