Blimey kaz bet you nearly fell off your chair when you heard that!

I've got a day off today shoe shopping for my friends wedding shoes!

kazzaD66 · 31/03/2017 10:33

No where near as good looking as our CJ, ilove but then, who is? Blush Truth be told, I wasn't really paying much attention until his name came up on screen and then I nearly burst out laughing. Had to contain myself as DH sitting there and he knows absolutely nothing about OG and my BA/CJ obsession Confused

Tea on the veranda. Very civilised

Lovely pixie. No sign of dear CJ I suppose?

Rhubarb01 · 01/04/2017 09:42

Morning. Well, it's the weekend and despite the fact that it was a bit rainy overnight the sun has come out and as my Grandmother would have said, "There's enough blue sky to make a sailor's pair of trousers," so it will probably be a niceish day. What's everyone up to? I'm probably going to tackle eldest DD's bedroom which has been undergoing a revamp involving a massive clear-out which I absolutely hate but it is essential.

Kazza I had to laugh at the fact there is a real life CJ and wondered whether he knows about fictional CJ and has had his leg pulled. Then I started thinking of those gift websites where you can order a personalised copy of a classic novel in which your own name has been inserted in place of the hero or heroine throughout. Just imagine if real life CJ found the FF site? He wouldn't know whether to laugh, cry or hope the ground would open up and swallow him!

Happy 1st April! Very fitting we have very heavy April showers. Lovely weather inbetween so hoping to get out with ds later. Good luck with your sons bedroom rhu. Ds has just gone to sleep so having a bit of a tidy up.

Thanks rich and ilove feeling better thanks although ds has kindly shared his cold Hmm

pixie that picture looks gorgeous, hope your putting your feet up a bit and relaxing.

Hope the shoe shopping when went rich, I guessing there was some lunch and alcohol hopefully involved too!

Hopefully this will be the month for OG 3 news.

Ilovelblue · 01/04/2017 23:13

Evening everyone. I seem to be getting later and later this week at posting.

Glad you're feeling better Maddie. Are you back at work now. I'm with you in hoping we might get some OG news soon.

It's been my birthday today (though to be honest, every day has seemed like my birthday this week). It might all start to seem a bit more "normal" next week. I had a lovely meal out with friends this lunchtime which stretched way into the late afternoon and have had some really nice presents (though a couple of seriously weird things that make you wonder if the giver actually knows me at all). Managed to polish off a half bottle of wine this evening whilst watching my favourite bits of OG2 as my birthday present to myself whilst munching on a few higos I brought back from Spain.

It's been typical April showers here today.

What has everyone else been up to?

MaddieMoo82 · 02/04/2017 11:19

ilove glad you had a good birthday yesterday. The pictures of the food you posted looked lovely. I'm back at work now thanks. In fact working tonight.... hoping I can keep on eyes open as feel knackered.

It's finally the first proper day of sun we've had since Monday so hoping to go out and get some planting done in the minute. Then we are popping out for a roast before I go to work.
Hope everyone's got nice weather and is getting out to enjoy it Smile

Just stopped at the shops near the big army training centre in Kenya. British army land rover pulled in and out jumped someone only woof would find attractive. Head so square he looked like a Minecraft figure. ☹️

MaddieMoo82 · 02/04/2017 16:33

Good work with eyes on even though your on holiday pixie. Shame you were let down by the contents of the Land Rover Shock

moojangles · 02/04/2017 18:59

Well tried pix. Nobody wears combats quite like cj

Ilovelblue · 02/04/2017 23:09

Excellent observation pixie but as we all know, there are very few men in the world who come anywhere near CJ in the handsome-in-combats stakes.

Been a gorgeous day here. Had a friend here in the afternoon and we sat and drank lots of tea and ate lots of my cake. Very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Night all.

xx

Ilovelblue · 04/04/2017 09:27

Good morning! Where are you all? ice was hoping you could give us some OG news by now...?

icemist · 04/04/2017 15:21

Been sworn to secrecy ilove Wink

MaddieMoo82 · 04/04/2017 18:35

Sorry ilove was going to post earlier but got distracted! Nothing exciting happening this end of the country. Lots of work and no play which as always is very dull. Have finally got nice weather for the next few days so hoping for a couple of evenings in the garden if I have time.
TG is just keeping us hanging on at the moment and building the tension I think!!!

Richtea19 · 04/04/2017 20:39

Nothing much going here ilove busy working extra hours at work , DS is in with me over the school hols, scanning and photocopying, proper boring work but it will help pay for his holiday to Zante!

I spoke to my MIL this morning, she had her head shaved yesterday, her hair was coming out in clumps on her pillow. In fact all her hair, eyebrows lashes etc. It's so heartbreaking. She is such a strong willed determined women (which along these threads I've moaned and groaned about her) but my god it's so unfair.

Sorry that's a bit gloom and doom for a Tuesday eve, and I'm watching Holly, even more doom!!!

Richtea19 · 04/04/2017 20:40

Holby City!

KeziaOAP · 04/04/2017 21:12

Nothing much going on here either! Been trying to catch up in the garden which was sadly neglected last year when DD was ill, have 1/4 acre to look after, thinking of cutting out some of the borders and putting down to grass Hmm or cutting out some of the herbaceous and putting in more shrubs, decisions, decisions. My late DH and I spent a lot of time gardening he loved weeding and pruning.

Thinking of you last Sunday ilove made the ginger and apple cake but this time used stem ginger so moist makes a lovely pud Smile.

KeziaOAP · 04/04/2017 21:18

Rich I do feel for your MIL, I was fortunate in that I didn't have chemo each time just radiotherapy every week day for for six weeks, but was with others who were having both, must say one of the ladies had a wig but she preferred to wear the special hats had a different one for each day of the week depending on her mood!

How is your mum ice?

MaddieMoo82 · 04/04/2017 21:33

Ah richtea bless your mil. Did you see the Victoria Derbyshire (BBC lady) posted yesterday, its all over social media. Basically talking about the chemo hair loss and how she found that harder than the double mastectomy. But her positive was that she can now remove her wig as her hair has grown back lovely and thick.
Pottering around whilst mrmads shouts abuse at the football on the tv... standard evening! Hmm

icemist · 05/04/2017 07:55

My Mum is doing ok kezia she has unfortunately lost pretty much the entire use of her right arm, her fingers have curled in completely towards her palm, she does have physio a few times a week to try and help. Remaining very positive as really this could have been a very different outcome especially if the immunotherapy hadn't been an option.

My cousin has started her chemotherapy- although she will be on it for 2 years as the type of cancer she has is very aggressive- consultant said she was stage 3 when diagnosed but if she'd not gone private she'd could have been stage 9 when her appointment actually came through.

icemist · 05/04/2017 07:55

Daily Mail article suggests filming starts end of month in SA but no word on other cast yet

Looks like you are having a fab holiday pix, just been up your way, but now back home 😟 and back to the piles of washing, and entertaining the kids for the next week with no beach in easy reach! I miss the beach!!!

Ilovelblue · 06/04/2017 23:52

A very late good evening from Ilove Towers. Not had much energy to post over the last couple of days. I've been renovating one of the beds in the back garden and digging out a compost heap in order to fill it back with topsoil. Consequently, I have been stiff and kn.....d every night.

Not only that but I've had a problem with a mouse or two! One of the cats must have brought them in, probably when I was on holiday and one of them had clearly been residing in one of my kitchen cupboards as it's eaten its way through a box of bran flakes. Two healthy cats and I still had to buy a mousetrap! The second one appeared on Tuesday and I had friends round when it paraded across the floor when we were eating. Luckily, nobody was frightened but the little blighter then disappeared behind a radiator and we couldn't catch it. It has been despatched this afternoon to the great mousehole in the sky. I had to resort to a second mousetrap. The cats are usually fantastic mousers but I think they must have brought them in and the little devils had found a tiny hole to hide, therefore the cats lost interest.

It seems to have been quiet on here - anyone got anything interesting going on at the moment/
