That looks lovely yorks, I used to work near there and it wasn't so nice back then! It was just the start of the improvements, Wapping was the up and coming place to be, with the conversion of all the warehouses, but to me it is still the scary place of the newspaper riots!! I still remember driving through there with the police vans with the riot shields on the windscreens!! Mind, the people who live there now probably weren't even born then!!! What else are you seeing round there?

Actually nickel we drove through Wapping today on our way to Tower Bridge and it certainly looks very expensive now. What we couldn't believe was we (DD) not me were able to park near the bridge free for 4 hours!! Beautiful sunny day we have been so lucky. Back to Yorkshire tomorrow hopefully to some more sunshine. DD lives in Canary Gateway so we have stayed around here but I love the area

Hi everyone

Love to see that the filming is still going on. After Malaysia, are they back in the UK, do you know Nickel?

|mpressive photo of Tower Bridge Yorks. Glad you had a nice time.

I'm just back from some time down in Bordeaux. Mixed weather at the start of the holiday but it improved gradually. Lots of eating, sightseeing and some shopping here and there too. Had a couple of trips out on the train - St Emilion was so beautiful and we were shocked at some of the prices of the wines - 12,200 euros seemed a little excessive for one bottle! Hardly a supermarket special!

What has everyone else been up to?

Hi everyone hope you are all enjoying our crazy summer! One day good one day bad at least back here in Yorkshire, I think we were very lucky in London.
Disappointed to see Tom Chambers has left Casualty again he was filling the gap to OG3 very nicely.

Still getting a few snippets of news from Malaysia but not enough photos from behind the scene
Don't have any news so goodnight to everyone.
Waiting out!🆗

Hhmm! Not sure what to make of the news today that Mother Lane is on her way to Kuala Lumpur. Really didn't take to the Lane family, esp the mum, and really don't know why she would be out in Malaysia. Oh well, time will tell. As long as CJ is there, I'm happy Grin

icemist · 22/08/2017 06:58

He is there...
I quite liked mummy Lane, although there were one or 2 dodgy lines.

Hi ilove, sorry wasn't ignoring you, we were away with no wifi. I don't think they are doing any filming in the UK this time, are they? Maybe that's why ma Lane has flown out. Shame, I was wondering whether TG had not included the family this time. Hey ho. Time will tell.

Good of Brains and Fingers to keep us up to date with what's happening out there, and who's there too 😀

Love the stag pic yorks.

Ilovelblue · 23/08/2017 20:46

I wasn't keen on Mr or Mrs Lane but I think it was Mr Lane who irritated me the most, though I cringed when Mrs L said that dreadful line about "God's pencil" when she met Mr Dull and Boring's parents.

Have you been to see your parents Nickel?

Nickel45 · 23/08/2017 21:06

I think the whole family just weren't a patch on Molly's and it was a shame, it was like TG was trying to make them like the Dawes, but that was never going to happen. Still, maybe they'll have better lines this time.

Not been back home this holiday, ilove although migh manage to squeeze it in before the kids are back at school. Did you enjoy your trips round this area? Sorry we didn't get to meet up this time.
Definitely next time though. I love that you are making the most if not working, so brilliant. Where are you off to next? X

Ilovelblue · 23/08/2017 21:16

Ah Nickel my neighbour wants a trip to Bicester and we're staying overnight. I'll PM you the details and hopefully we can meet up?

I've been retired for five months now. I've got a trip to Paris in early December to look forward to and I'm doing a few weeks at my local physio clinic as the receptionist in October. They approached me, not the other way round, as their current receptionist is going to be on holiday.

Rhubarb01 · 28/08/2017 12:54

Afternoon ladies!

Sorry to have been AWOL for such a long time. The demands of work, holiday and unfortunate illness have wiped out most of August. To quote dear old Mols "It's all been a bit sh*t!"

I managed to fall victim to a horrible virusy type thing at the start of August although I couldn't take time off work because I was going on holiday and stuff simply had to be done before I went away. The general unwellness dragged on through part of my holiday and then turned into a horrible eye infection that caused my face to swell up at the end of last week and I had to go to the eye hospital and generally felt rubbish. I could have been an extra in Alien without the make-up. However, things are now quickly returning to normal. The only good thing is that DD1 got a fantastic set of GCSE's so we are doing the proud parent bit at the moment. Bless her, she did work her socks off and deserves it.

Sorry, to have made the watchalong suggestion and then disappeared. However, now that we are almost into September and without any broadcast date yet perhaps we should treat this as an annual event and commence a watchalong from next weekend if anyone is free to do so. Will it be Series 1, Series 2 OR both of them? I wonder how many weeks we have left until Series 3 starts. Do you think we could get through ten episodes before? So many unanswered questions. If anyone would like a communal watch and chat possibly next Friday evening or maybe Sunday then I'd be happy to join in.

Whatever you're all up to then I hope you're having a good Bank Holiday.

icemist · 28/08/2017 21:35

Sounds good to me Rhu
I've heard rumours of an Oct air date but also Nov Confused

That's a good idea I hope I will be able to join in, not just read all your comments as I did before. Hopefully DH will be out and the tele with the DVD will be free! I only have OG 1 on DVD OG2 I still have on record!! AND DVD of course I AM NOT OBSESSED, honest. Brilliant clip on Aldridge army instagram of Brains, Georgie and CJ. Would like to save it but don't know how. Hope everyone has had a good holiday time can't believe it is September on Friday. I will watch to see what you are doing about the watchalong.

Ilovelblue · 29/08/2017 23:51

HI all. Sorry to hear you've been unwell Rhu. Were you abroad when you needed to go to hospital or in the UK? At least if you were in the UK it would be easier to get medical attention I guess. Glad it's all sorting itself out now.

I am up for a watchalong. Not bothered whether we do series 1 or 2 but I guess series 2 would be better as a refresh for what is to come in the new series (ie, some of the same characters and however much we may have differing views on MK/Georgie, she is going to appear in series 3). Honestly not bothered which though. Sunday is best for me. I am visiting my cousin in Yorkshire on Friday and not sure what time I will get back plus she wears me out so I might not be in the mood for typing fast and furious, even with CJ telling me to put some bloody effort in and all that.

What time were you thinking of?

Rhubarb01 · 30/08/2017 01:05

Hi, burning the midnight oil here. Luckily I was here whilst poorly. I'd have been very miffed if I'd been abroad at the time. Although I do recall being ill on my honeymoon years ago and having an interesting time in an Italian pharmacy. I'm still not sure what they sold me.

Sunday is good for me, 8pm or 9pm? Not sure what we are all watching at the moment on a Sunday evening with no OG. Series 2 is fine. I am anticipating episode 2 already. You may guess it's my favourite. Wonder why?

Best sign off here. It's a bit late now
Goodnight.

Ilovelblue · 30/08/2017 09:13

Let's go for 9pm. Anyone else up for it?

icemist · 30/08/2017 21:05

9pm works for me!

Hopefully me too.

I've just watched episode 3 of season 2 as more of CJ In that one!!! Each time I watch I seem to notice different things and enjoy it more. I have also been watching Strike it's a bit dark and very different but I've enjoyed it. Last part next Sunday so will record it if I get onto your watchalong. Depends if DH is in he sometimes meets a friend on Sunday evenings but not always!! Flipping sky at 6.00 o'clock when it had been cloudy all day.
