Yes Ice for you all who work and travel through that part of Manchester it's going to be an emotional time as just seeing it in the news is bad enough. Still thinking of everyone affected by it all.

Ilovelblue · 30/05/2017 15:09

I was in Altrincham on Sunday ice and most of the shops we went in had collection boxes for the tragedy.

The Manchester Evening News Just Giving website is just short of £2 million at the moment. People are so generous.

icemist · 30/05/2017 18:58

Overall it's at £6 million, they are expecting another £2 million from the concert on Sunday!

icemist · 31/05/2017 19:15

Been this evening to lay some flowers. So moving.

Nickel45 · 02/06/2017 00:30

Having fun! Hope they're remembering to do some filming too!!!

Morning. I've been having a rare few days off and somewhat embarrassed by the poor state of my garden have injected a bit of instant colour by buying a job lot of plants and making use of the redundant pots lying around the garden. This is bound to signal the end of the summer!

I know we have occasionally wondered about the absence of woof and I think I have the definitive answer. Whilst flicking through next week's RT I read the following:

Aiden Turner doesn't want to talk about his love life. But there comes a point...when he simply can't help himself. He has, he admits, grown very close to a Poldark co-star. The two of them have just finished filming three series together and have developed an intimate bond. "Our relationship certainly has matured," Turner says, before paying tribute to his co-star's "sensitivity". Truly, he can't imagine his life without Seamus the horse

Looks like her plan worked! Bad luck Prudie.

Evening everyone. It seems to have been very quiet on here. I like the trickle of photos coming through. Can I be the one to volunteer to rub suncream on the guys in your photo Nickel? Though pixie might fight me for Spanner (you can have him pixie, I'll stick with CJ).

One of my closest friends lost her Dad earlier this week. It was pretty much expected. He was diagnosed with three different types of cancer at the start of the year. I seem to have been helping out quite a bit.

As part of my redundancy package from work, I get £500 towards "re-training" except I have no intention of retraining, thank you very much. I went with a friend this afternoon for the first part of our colour and style analysis. She was delighted to come with me - as it would normally have cost £180 and neither of us would pay this sort of money ourselves.

What is everyone up to this weekend? How have the school holidays worked out?

icemist · 03/06/2017 13:08

I wondered where he was that's the first photo I've seen. Is elvis out there yet Ice or is this from another programme?

I don't know what we, or I, would do without your info!
I have managed to get onto Aldridge army site so see somethings on there but you are usually the first.

Nickel45 · 03/06/2017 18:44

He's out filming OG yorks, here's the full tweet ... Elvis and Pyro - gorgeous (take your pick as to which one!)

Ilovelblue · 03/06/2017 19:48

Thanks both for the photo and tweet. I can't do Twitter at all! Never had Elvis down as a dog person. I'd have him and the dog actually! Very cute.

pixieg1rl · 03/06/2017 21:13

Lots of glimpses of Mark (Spanner) coming through in all his bearded gorgeousness ilove. I'd happily go and rub his sun cream in his hard to reach places Grin

Thanks Nickel you are all very good with IT I am nearly a bit past it although I have learnt a lot for my age!!

Ilovelblue · 03/06/2017 23:17

I'll have Elvis pixie (and happy to share with Rhu if she's up for it) and we'll leave you to Spanner and his beard. I can even find room for the dog if Elvis wants to bring him (or her) along too.

Ilovelblue · 04/06/2017 00:24

Totally different subject but this is my favourite view of my back garden just now (complete with cat).

Unfortunately more bad news in London but we must remain positive and concentrate on the Good

icemist · 04/06/2017 08:33

So awful. They stepped up attacks last year during Ramadan, looks like they are doing the same this year.

icemist · 06/06/2017 06:49

Lovely just what we need some good news, which of course anything about OG Is and cheers us up
Let's hope no more trouble and time for all the families to grieve in peace and for the people in hospital to recover
Wonder what will happen on Thursday I am so confused I really don't know what to think. Cannot do anything about it though as what will be will be, but have never before not wanted to vote, have to or can't complain about result!!!!!!

Richtea19 · 06/06/2017 12:20

icemist · 06/06/2017 16:22

Hope the exams haven't been to stressful for you rich Wink

Love the little snippets we get every so often.

Rhubarb01 · 09/06/2017 18:12

Just popping in to say 'Hello' as it's been so quiet on here and we slipped off the first page of 'Telly Addicts' - a very rare event.

I've nothing much to say and no interesting news, I'm afraid. I'm starting to feel a bit weary after being caught up in the election coverage last night followed by a longish day at work - not a good mix! Did you do the count pix? At one point they were talking to someone in the Guild Hall in Cambridge and I wondered if you were somewhere down below, beavering away with your nimble counting fingers.

Just thought Poldark starts on Sunday, hooray!

Here's to more OG news soon.

Rhubarb01 · 09/06/2017 18:17

Oooh just remembered about that picture of Elvis and a big fluffy dog - probably my favourite combination of the moment... good looking, faithful, anxious to please, always by your side...you decide which one is most likely to meet that criteria Grin

pixieg1rl · 09/06/2017 19:03

I was in the Guildhall counting away last night Rhu. Completely knackered now.

Rhubarb01 · 09/06/2017 19:27

Well pix I was waving to you in a virtual sense.

Actually, David Dimbleby paused for a moment to ask the reporter about the Guild Hall because he remarked on how opulent it was in comparison with the normal array of anonymous Leisure Centres you see in the background of these live discussions.

I really shouldn't have stayed up so late but I live in what was a marginal seat and was hoping for a bit of a change but it didn't happen. My favourite moments were some of the declarations particularly the list of about 12 mostly bizarre candidates at Theresa May's constituency which I think included the clarification from the declaring officer, "commonly known as Lord Bucketface" and the big Fish Finger man who looked as if he had strayed from the London Marathon standing behind Tim Farron at his declaration. I also love the way some of the candidates get really excited by receiving a hundred votes. If I had a few hundred quid to waste and no reputation to maintain , however mundane it is, it would be tempting to invent a party, write a weird manifesto and campaign. Do you think we could get any votes for if we stood on a "More CJ on TV" ticket?
