Oh Ice you are a starStarStar

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2017 18:24

You lot put me to shame as you know so much more about actors and television programmes in general. Thanks for the info!

I've just come back from a trip up to the north Lakes for the llama trekking. Anyone who is a friend of mine on Facebook can see the photos but for obvious reasons, I can't post them on here as they have me on them! Here's our llama for the afternoon though- he's called Mr T. It was such a lovely experience - I would do it again! The weather forecast had not been good but it kept fine for most of the time and was actually sunny at the point where we took most of the photos. The backdrop was great too.

Hello all - just checking in to see the exciting news! Just hope CJ has a meatier part (!) this time.

Ilove - looks like a fun day today! Big birthday for me (OK, 50) and unfortunately my day at work not nearly so exciting!

A snippet of local news caught my eye today as I think it features one of our early wrestling contestants:

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-39703528

Go Tom! There have been some really brazen attempts to steal on our road recently by young guys on mopeds, I hope they are the ones he caught nearby!

Richtea19 · 25/04/2017 19:56

ilove brilliant Lama photos! And the ones on FB. It looked like a lot of fun.

Well done nickel for the info on the new people. It's all becoming very real now!!

Home from holidays and the house is still standing from the boys. Other than the vaccum and the bathroom haven't been done.. and the washing, other than that all is well. My nephew was there on and off to supervise which he did very well. He stopped a potential "gathering" happening. My stupid son invited some friends over but word got out and then an extra 10 arrived! My nephew turned them away with a few words being dished out. A lesson has been learnt to to advertise an empty parent fee home.

Now for the washing and ironing mountain!

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2017 20:17

Happy Birthday Frank. Birthdays at work are always a bit shit, aren't they?

Llama trekking looks ace ilove.

Boggling at the thought of nickel being a Hollyoaks fan. Now if the cast of BS42 would like to pop in to OG3, that would be another story entirely.

moojangles · 25/04/2017 20:29

Simon & the Lt Colonel would do it for me pix.
Well done for all of the info ladies, good enough to force me to delurk!

Happy birthday frank

Happy birthday Frank CakeWine

Loved the llama pictures ilove looked amazing fun (I'd have run a mile from the snake though)

Been an exciting few days for OG fans

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2017 21:57

I didn't mind the snake too much though it was a weird feeling when it started to tighten up round my arm. They had some frogs but I had to tell the girl I was terrified and would totally freak out if she got them out of their tank. I couldn't even look in their direction. Fortunately she said she'd leave them alone. I would have run back to the car I think if she'd handled them. We held two gheckos too and the second one had sticky pads and was generally a bit sticky all over which I didn't like and I was glad to hand it back. It has been a lovely day overall and I'd do it again. The llamas were so cute.

Alwaysfrank · 25/04/2017 22:34

Thanks for the birthday wishes - had a nice meal and a cocktail so makes us for being at work. Pix, when you said that it's a bit shit having a birthday at work I definitely heard that in Molly's voice!

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2017 23:02

Are you doing anything at the weekend frank to celebrate and push the boat out? Happy birthday, a bit late sorry!

Alwaysfrank · 25/04/2017 23:21

No not this weekend. This weekend I'm emptying the loft etc etc prior to the moth fumigation next week. All glamour here! Am going away for the weekend in a couple of weeks for a belated celebration, with the other half (who also turned 50 a couple of months ago) then I will string it out with a special family meal out somewhere on hols in NYC this summer! That's the plan! It will be the first family holiday we have had that's not in France since our twins were born 13 years ago.

Rich - your tale about the averted "gathering" reminded me of half term when we went away for a couple of nights leaving our eldest boy to "revise". We came home to a suspiciously clean and tidy house but on closer inspection there were some tell tale clues that he had had guests. Then one of our neighbours spoke to us about some antics on the street - smashing bottles etc. He swears that they were people he had turned away, who he didn't know, but the upshot is that he found it all very stressful and says he will never do it again!

Alwaysfrank · 25/04/2017 23:22

And thanks all for the birthday wishes!

TRish47 · 26/04/2017 09:18

Hello ladies and Happy 😊 Birthday Frank🍰
I haven't posted for a while but lurk a lot!!
Lots of lovely news and pictures about OG.
Exciting times, there also seems to be some new cast members, I wonder if the SF will be back plus the beards!!
I am with you Pix with the cast of BS42 joining OG3 that would be wonderful. I am a great fan of the Ops Tent ⛺️ on Twitter. Just love their Tweets.
School holidays over here and Anzac Day yesterday. The rugby season is in full swing and I am looking forward to the Lions tour later this year.
Rhu I don't think the mentioned just how much I enjoyed your final chapter of your story. It was

wonderful. I do hope you have something else lined up for us to enjoy?
There are some great stories on FF about OG at the moment. I take my hat off you you talented writers, you are wonderful.
Enjoy your day ladies, I am off to bed. Night all x

icemist · 26/04/2017 21:38

Busy day at work, feels a bit flat today with no more news or pictures.

7 yo had a girlfriend at the start of the day and no girlfriend by end of day. She didn't play with him at playtime....

Hubby had dodgy mole removed yesterday, not sure when he is due results though as they didn't say and he never asked (as men do)

Ilovelblue · 26/04/2017 22:38

I think they automatically do tests on moles ice - about a week as I recall. Men are hopeless where medical stuff on themselves is concerned, don't you think?

icemist · 27/04/2017 07:26

They are ilove but at least he went to GP even if that took about 3 weeks of gentle nudging

Ilovelblue · 27/04/2017 17:09

ice a couple of years ago, the guy who sat next to me at work had this very weird spot/sort of hole on the side of his temple. I kept telling him to get it checked out and he made rubbish excuses - too busy, couldn't get an appointment etc - and after about 3 months, one of my other colleagues managed to get through to him and he went, only to find out it was a skin cancer (which I had suspected anyway). When he had it operated on and because he had left it so long, he had almost 100 stitches on his face. He looked as if he'd been in a car crash. So you did well to get Mr Ice there in a relatively short space of time. Fingers crossed it's all ok for him.

Richtea19 · 27/04/2017 20:12

We book so many patients in the surgery with "suspect"'moles, we will always find an appointment because for a quick 10min consultation it's piece of mind and like you say the earlier diagnosis the better. Fingers crossed.

icemist · 27/04/2017 20:33

Thanks ladies.

Hello ..... just popping back in after a brief show of face last season - to say how bloody exciting it is to have them all back filming ..... slightly jumping up and down if I am honest 😂

YorksOAP
I am so pleased I found this site it really does stop me feeling a bit crazy when there are so many of us being excited about a TV programme but WHAT A PROGRAMME. Once again Ice keeps us up to date I hope your DH has a good result from the docs

icemist · 28/04/2017 08:21

Thanks yorks He's not outwardly nervous about the results. But as he's got another suspect one on his back I am concerned. Boys just know he had an operation, no need to tell them anything else till we have to
