Corrie Thread - How can Michelle walk on the cobbles in 6 inch heels?? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

I suppose we'll find out what happened to Denise aswell

How does Shona know Nathan, at first I thought he was her sons father but now I'm not sure

Gemma recognized her from the Callum days but we didn't get much information about that, or maybe we did and I missed it

I liked the scenes with Roy and Brian, it's a bit of light relief from all the doom and gloom.

Nick is just horrible

on the night ken was attacked ken had left daniel a present (the book) in daniels flat. when daniel got in he opened the present read what was written inside and then stormed out of his flat
next scene was ken lying at the bottom of the stairs

I bloody new it was Daniel, I reckon he killed his mum too, we've already seen he has an awful temper and he threatened to kill Adam.
The trailer looks good, I felt a bit sick seeing the bit with Bethany and all those blokes at one of Nathans parties. I think Shona was with Nathan some time ago. I hope they finally get Bethany out of the situation.

did anyone else notice how smooth lizs skin looked, dont know if she as had some work done but she didnt look like that a couple of weeks ago

Looks like Daniel did it after all. Something ken wrote in the book gave him the rage, something about Sinead's pregnancy I imagine. I think Daniel will be arrested for his mother's murder and then she will turn up. Yes the party scenes with Bethany look awful, I know she is in her 20s IRL but she is so wide eyed and innocent looking it makes for very uncomfortable viewing.

I still think there's a twist ... I can't imagine they'd have revealed who actually pushed Ken before the week long storyline.

Ken really gets on my nerves the way he talks makes me want to punch the tv!! I would post a link of the story I just read but I don't know how to do it without it being a spoiler, if anyone knows how to post is when it's a clicky one that just says link here, let me know.

Surely has to be Daniel.....sitting there calmly tracing the writing in a horribly blood stained book....

Did anyone make out the message that Ken had written in the book? I couldn't read it!!

Why did Ken ask Adam why he had Daniel's trainers? He then said Adam pushed him because he was stood over him in those trainers.. So did he think Daniel pushed him in those trainers until Adam said they were his?

I can't think of any other reason why Daniel would be tracing the message into the book. (As my husband said, why not just burn the book rather than stowing it under the floorboards!)

Ken first thought the trainers were Daniel's because when he was with Sinead in the flat she said the pile of clothes/trainers were Daniel's.

I think next week is going to be a good week from the adverts I've seen.

It's all very dark and depressing at the moment but I really enjoyed the bits between Roy and Brian on Friday when Roy was getting frustrated with Brian's belief in superstitions. Roys' bafflement and frustration were quite amusing.
Far more interesting to have them disagree over an intellectual subject than for Roy to be annoyed about Brian's living habits.

Probs won't watch next week, Bethany stuff has gotten a bit too triggery for me. Would like to see how this conversation between Leanne/Michelle/Toyah/Steve/Peter/Nick goes though. Wouldn't it be something if they all decided to stop acting like children and actually put the children first!

Yes, I think Corrie's lighter moments are far better of late,with Norris and Mary the key beneficiaries. Norris seems to have more pathos and self awareness now, which adds to the depth of the character.

Why would Michelle agree to sit down and talk about everything with the rest of them? She has nothing to do with them really.

RE the book that Ken gave Daniel, I seem to remember Daniel and Sinead arguing about whether he should go to Oxford, and Sinead said something like 'it's your golden moment of opportunity, you have to go'.
I think Daniel then realised that Ken must have spoken to Sinead and said that to her, when he read it in the book - because it would have been too much of a coincidence for them both to have said that separately?

Spin Yes that does make sense, Makes more sense as to why he would've pushed Ken down the stairs.

The last we saw of Ken was going upstairs with the kettle, so Daniel must have come in, holding the book, and grappled with Ken on the stairs, hit him with the book getting blood all over it, and disappeared without a trace.

Those convoluted, improbable conversations between Brian and Roy are beginning to do my head in. Trying too hard to be funny.
