Corrie Thread - How can Michelle walk on the cobbles in 6 inch heels?? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

I'm surprised there's been a lack of criticism about Steve and Leanne on here! Michelle isn't the one who's done anything wrong - I was completely on her side in those (surprisingly strong) episodes on Friday. Hopefully she won't forgive him because he was always punching above his weight with her.

Oh Steve and Leanne are dicks. Leanne should just never have told him if she didn't want him involved.

And Michelle and Steve weren't really split up when he shagged Leanne. And they told half the street. Nick, Peter, Toyah and Liz all knew.

I watch every now and again and I am just watching the Omnibus now. Kym Marsh is doing very well here. Acting her socks off.

Leanne seems to have one expression.

Another story disappearing without trace is the flat scam. Wouldn't the police have questioned Phelan a bit more? And wouldn't people like Sarah and Rita, who lost their deposits, still be moaning about it? I know I would!

I fell off the other thread ages ago due to sporadic watching as I can't abide the Phelan rubbish.

Didn't Steve think Michelle had left him to go and work on a cruise ship? That's pretty decisive isn't it? I know she changed her mind but he didn't know that, he's been a total dick since though. I have never bought Nick & Leanne being a couple again, she couldn't bear to let him touch her before they got divorced not that long ago.

Where does Robert live?

I have a question about the birth certificate. They were going to put Nick on it but now Steve wants to be on it instead. How would a registrar deal with that? Presumably they take it on good faith that whoever you write on the form is the father but how do they actually know?

I've just started watching again after a complete break for 18 months and I haven't got the faintest idea what's going on. Why is Rosie Webster back, which of Ken's offspring is the one Sinead has gone off with, why is Maria in prison? So many questions!

In the show, she married a foreign chap to get him his green card, which is illegal. I believe, IRL, Samia Gandhi (i think thats her name) wanted a break or was pregnant.

I wouldn't worry. I think 18 months is pretty much the term of the cycle. Blacmailings, murders, love triangles, people over hearing things they shouldn't etc etc. Its all the same crap, just different actors.

Agree ATM I really can't stand Michelle. She was playing her part really well with the grief but as usual they have to make everything completely over the top!! 🙄 why can't people in soaps just split up and go their opposite ways, why do the writers always have to make a massive scene!!

Didn't Michelle leave him to go on a cruise ship and holed herself upmin Carla's? As far as Steve knew he was single. And the Rovers, would she be entitled to anything in reality? Steve and Liz own it and owned it before she married Steve? Wouldn't it depend on what wage she took or what she out into the pub?

I did think Kym Marsh was doing quite well but it's all gone a bit bonkers now.

I can't believe Rosie looks like she's staying! Only been watching about 3y with a 20y break so not had to face annoying Rosie before. Goodness I thought Sophie had trouble acting, she like an oscar winning compared to her.

Anyone else think that they have done Leanne a disservice with a new baby? First one yet no problems feeding, sleeping, nappies or anything!

Comedyusername re birth certificate question. You are signing to say that the person named in space 4 is the father and the information is true and correct to the best of your knowledge. Also registrars should display a sign saying that wilfully giving a registrar false information is perjury and may be liable to prosecution.

Thanks DJKK, so there are two of Ken's sons, plus Peter at the monent? I'm a very long term Corrie watcher (apart from the last 18mo), is floppy the one whose mother was Denise? Or was it Wendy Crozier? Or the florist? It's all been such a long time, I get muddled up with the various relationshios and offspring of Ken and Mike Baldwin.

I think 'floppy's' mum was Denise (was she the hairdresser or the one who lived on a barge?).

Denise was the hairdresser. Ken's love interest who lived on a barge was Martha, played by Stephanie Beacham.
