Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

I think it'll be Seb. I reckon he's gone snooping about upstairs and Kens caught him. It says Ken phones the police when he remembers who attacked him. If it was Sinead or another regular surely they'd be out the series. Much as I'd like it to be Adam - wtf is the point of him - I reckon it'll be someone not in the frame so far who can be suitably jailed etc.

i think it was that drug dealer that adam had dealings with, ken burnt his money if i remember righty.

Ellenora, Bethany tried to escape (Gary and Sarah had locked her in) and went wild trashing the house, then charged at Gary and stabbed him (not sure what with).

She throws glass vase at them which smashed she then picked up shard glass and threaten stab Jason who grabbed her and she stabbed him.

They did it well ended up Bethany crying down some dark canal with cut hand alone. Presably drunk still and scared. No sign of Nathan but he prob rescue her and or say the police are after her and she better move or go to his other house.

Anyone else think David's character has vastly improved in the last few months? He used to be very one dimensional, predictable and unpleasant. But lately he's developed a nicer side - for example he said 'no problems' last night when Sarah apologised for the mess Bethany had made, whereas at one time he'd have been very unsympathetic and nasty about it. He's even softened towards Gail.

But more importantly, he's become very perceptive and funny. I now find myself paying more attention when he's on screen because he's come out with some absolute corkers lately that have really made me laugh, I also thought the scene where Shona was saying goodbye to him and they were talking about David the dog missing her etc when they both meant David the person was really touching.

Maybe he's got a new script writer!

I agree Stone, I really like the 'new' David.

Smeaton - I would agree entirely about the old David, but not the new one. Also loved the scene where Billy was trying to persuade him to come to his church do and he got Lily to make cakes. At one time David would have been really nasty, but he let himself be completely manipulated by Lily and Billy.

And loved the throw away comment last night about Gail's egg-based stories.

how long as seb been in the young offenders place would he have been in when ken got attacked or did he go after ? i think it might be sinead or even beth if sinead told her about ken making her get the abortion

I like the more sympathetic david. But then the writers change the characters to suit themselves. When I heard that Rosie was coming back into it, I assumed that the nasty manipulative Rosie would be coming back but am glad that she has somehow transformed into a quite a thick (but funny) character.

How was Maria going to the hotel with Aiden, hasn't she still got the ankle tag?

I think Bethany has improved so much, she really is doing a great job with this storyline.

Oh yes Spin - good point! It's only a week or so since we had the palaver of her getting back in time from the business lunch she went to with Aiden ....

They are mates why woulnt he just pop over to hers? Much less to find than hotel on credit card bill

I'm fascinated by the whole pimp storyline as I'm so naive. Does this happen in rl? Someone gets stuck a hold over a girl that they pretend to be in love with them, then get men over and expect their 'girlfriend' to sleep with them?
I'm presuming Bethany knew the expectation which is why she got so drink?
