Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

Toyah annoys me with Peter which is a shame as I think she could be a good character otherwise. I still can't believe someone would be in a relationship with a man who cheated on her sister with her sister's best friend. I certainly wouldn't go out with someone who did that!

redshoeblueshoe · 26/04/2017 13:44

Toyah is very annoying. She was always the more sensible sister, and she will know that Peter has never been faithful to anyone. lizzie I agree there is no chemistry between them at all. Carla was a good match for Peter, totally believable.

littlemissM92 · 26/04/2017 13:56

Carla was fantastic full stop IMO she was one of my faves

LordAnthony · 26/04/2017 14:05

Brian must have a good pension seeing as he was a head teacher. I don't understand him lodging at all. HIs lump sum alone would have easily bought a house in Weatherfield.

I don't think Brian is of retirement age, he is fogeyish in his ways, but Corriepedia indicates that Brian was born in August 1963 so, so he's only 53.

redshoeblueshoe · 26/04/2017 14:16

I thought Carla was great too. I saw her once she was absolutely stunning.

desperatehousewife21 · 26/04/2017 17:12

Carla was my all time fav character on Corrie and was SO sad to see her leave and I loved her wardrobe so was sad to see that go too!

CarrieBradshawsScrunchie · 26/04/2017 17:23

I don't think Peter would fancy Toyah in a million years. Over here, Peter!

Housewife2010 · 26/04/2017 18:01

Hands off. Peter's mine.

hippyhippyshake · 26/04/2017 18:13

Crikey! 53! I thought he was retired 😱

woodhill · 27/04/2017 08:14

Was the guy coming to Nathan's flat staged to manipulate Bethany?

redshoeblueshoe · 27/04/2017 08:20

Yes he was.

SpinMill · 28/04/2017 09:02

The Rob and Tracy storyline- wasn't it only a year or so ago that Rob asked Tracy to visit him in prison and told her he might be getting out and wanted to get back with her, and it turned out to be a trick to get back at her for shopping him to the police?
Why would Tracy then be helping him now, after he did that to her?

redshoeblueshoe · 28/04/2017 09:25

Yes Spin, I remember the other day thinking he hates her but I couldn't remember why.

Thinkingblonde · 28/04/2017 09:38

He's using her.

redshoeblueshoe · 28/04/2017 19:56

Where is Sarah getting the money from to buy a house ?

thenightsky · 28/04/2017 20:03

spin I thought I must have mis-remembered that. Rob was vile to her.

thenightsky · 28/04/2017 20:09

Yes redshoe, didn't Sarah Loo lose a load of money in the Phelan Flats Scandal?

Goingtobeawesome · 28/04/2017 20:54

Corrie bosses will say the Bethany story line is important and relevant and needs showing but I find it utterly terrifying and actually far too realistic.

redshoeblueshoe · 28/04/2017 21:13

Its horrendous to watch, and I assume its going to get a lot worse Sad

Akire · 28/04/2017 21:17

What did he say only need to count to 5????

eddiemairswife · 28/04/2017 22:41

Not sure where the Rob story is going. Presumably Amy thinks they are just going away for the bank holiday weekend, but it's not clear what Tracy's plans are.
Similarly, Nathan and Bethany....is Nathan getting paid for pimping her out? It's not clear.

redshoeblueshoe · 28/04/2017 22:50

Yes Nathan is her pimp, but she doesn't know.
Tracy as usual mystifies me.
And I still do not understand how Sarah and Gary have any money, let alone enough to look at houses Confused

BlackDoglet · 28/04/2017 23:10

The house was to rent so assume Sarah & Gary can afford rent between them?

stonecircle · 28/04/2017 23:34

Goingtobe - I totally agree. The thing about soaps is that all the drama doesn't seem that real and big events like murder are a bit melodramatic and the storylines are romped through quite quickly. But the Bethany storyline is quite a slow burner, very sinister, very credible and quite subtle. It's very uncomfortable viewing for a soap.

babyinarms · 28/04/2017 23:53

Just found this thread. I'm a Corrie addict. Is it OK to join the chat.
Finding the Bethany storyline deeply disturbing. Tonight was terrifying.
