Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

Lol Pasta exactly. I remember Deidre going in Rita's char but don't remember Ken having a car. So daft.

Ken has a car as someone a few years sick stole it for a joyride and he ended up getting a ticket (I'm sure this storyline was then redone with Roy and cathys nephew recently)

I can't remember for the life of me who took kens car though 🤔 sure it was a teenage boy but I think the car was a little red hatch back at the time.

Here we go.....

For a while, Ken's problems with Aidan died down, but they flared up again later in 2002 when Aidan went joyriding in Ken's car by having the keys copied. Ken was none the wiser but confused as he was receiving speeding tickets when he hadn't been speeding. Ken soon suspected Aidan and phoned the police when his car went missing again, but while speeding Aidan crashed the car. Aidan was unharmed and fled but the passenger Sarah Platt was seriously injured.

Sally had a car at one time, Dev must have a car, Leanne has a car (Christmas shopping episode), Steve had his vintage car, there was the camper van (for weddings I think, someone had sex in it!). Where have they all gone?

Oh yes, I remember Aidan that took Kens car for a joyride, and Sarah was near death at the end of it, and Curlys wife had to break the bad news to Gail, and a few years later wasn't Sophie nearly paralysed by a run away car, was that something to do with Michelle's son, and Sinead was nearly paralysed when Steve crashed the bus but again a miraculous recovery, I'll tell you something, the trauma teams in weatherfield must be shit hot, and the physio programmes must be some of the worlds best

Yes it has all gone holly oaks ( which is total crap) which is a shame. I remember the days of Hilda, Elsie, Bet, Mrs Walker with great affection, the same as Emmerdale Farm, with Seth, Amos, Annie and Mr Wilkes. All so far removed from the sexed up versions now, and how they have both gone down the same rubbish story lines.
I hate to think how 6 episodes a week will turn out,we want quality, not quantity!

And eastenders has turned into Waterloo road, seems to be mostly set in the school.

Does anyone care about Adam or Daniel? They were both rather implausibly shoe-horned into the cast at the time of Ken's illness, and haven't been given any time to settle into their parts and establish themselves before being given daft storylines,(virgin sex in a cupboard and drug dealing).

No. I'm sure Adam wasn't that bad the first time round was he? And Daniel...groan.

Could they have a storyline with a couple not having a surprise pregnancy? And why does Sinead talk like she's underwater?

Another pregnancy I thought Rana was unprofessional - sounded like she was trying to convince Daniel that having a baby would be 'fine'. I don't think it's her job to offer her opinion.

So, will there be another baby on the street? Or another miscarriage or stillbirth? Even this doesn't make Sinead and Daniel interesting.

I quite like that they're addressing the issue of street harassment and sexism although I'm not sure that sally and her megaphone is the best way to do it !

Perhaps we can place bets on where Sinead will have the baby, if the pregnancy progresses. My guess is in Roy's Rolls with Roy acting as midwife.

Or bets that it won't progress at all?
