I'm watching, the house must be really big with all that stuff and people.

honeysucklejasmine · 23/02/2017 20:28

All those shoes and Apple products!

I kinda agree with her regarding a tumble drier.

RealHouswifeofBury · 23/02/2017 20:28

3k a year on contracts. Did I hear that right?

HemanOrSheRa · 23/02/2017 20:30

I very nearly fainted off when they said they had 3 sets of twins Shock.

Heatherbell1978 · 23/02/2017 20:31

Tumble dryer is fair enough but I can't get over the branded clothes and the fact that the toddlers have 36 pairs of shoes between them...huh? This family must earn a packet to afford all this.

What job does he do, the telly is £480 cheaper , however much did theirs cost.

Lovelybangers · 23/02/2017 20:33

Love this show.

Am always amazed though at other folk's spending - i am a cheapskate very thrifty

Why not hang the laundry outside? It looked to be good weather.

lampfromikea · 23/02/2017 20:35

I think so far I've got their monthly outgoing at an estimated £650.
That's just contacts, tv/internet, gas and electricity. No mortgage or food spends. Shock

LightastheBreeze · 23/02/2017 20:35

I'm loving this also, did you just see the big room with the guitars and telly
But what is their household income.

lampfromikea · 23/02/2017 20:38

I do love these shows. OH and I are quite frugal and he is very good with money (I'm too impulsive!). I tend to have a judgy hour, I just can't fathom why people spend so much money on unnecessary things. Like Hunter wellies.

RJnomore1 · 23/02/2017 20:38

Gendered pens!

RJnomore1 · 23/02/2017 20:39

And how on Earth can you spend 45 minutes in the shower?

HemanOrSheRa · 23/02/2017 20:41

I think the Dad is an Events Organiser. Pretty sure that's what was said at the start.

LightastheBreeze · 23/02/2017 20:42

Surely those twin girls will be grown out of all those shoes within less than a year, what a waste, it was almost like the shoes were ornaments

Justmuddlingalong · 23/02/2017 20:43

Why do these programmes never help low income families? The ones who struggle to buy their kids a winter coat or pay the council tax. It always seems to be families with a large income who spend carelessly.

RJnomore1 · 23/02/2017 20:44

I found an article after the third set of twins were born and she lectures in dance.

woodhill · 23/02/2017 20:44

Yes, unbelievable about shoes. They do seem to have money to burn.

45 minutes in the shower.

Why can't she line dry the washing some of the time.

ImYourMama · 23/02/2017 20:45

I'm agog at their branded cleaning products... bleach is bleach!

LightastheBreeze · 23/02/2017 20:46

If they bought that fairly big house in Scotland about 20 years ago their mortgage is probably not that high

RememberToSmile1980 · 23/02/2017 20:48

Gosh I've missed this - will have to catch up on iplayer later!

wobblywonderwoman · 23/02/2017 20:50

I think they said soak, so it must have been the bath.

Crazy spending!!

lalaloopyhead · 23/02/2017 20:50

I love this programme, didn't realise it was back on though so missed the first half. I am always amazed by how much people spend on stuff, and also how they all tend to think only branded will do. There is very little branded food I buy though, and then it only tends to be when it is on offer. I can't imagine going into a shop and always buying the same brand regardless of the price!

Lovelybangers · 23/02/2017 20:53

And how on Earth can you spend 45 minutes in the shower?

Speak to my DH. He is the King of long showers.

ijustwannadance · 23/02/2017 20:53

Yeh, another family that doesn't actually need help. They have enough money but no self control.

36 bloody pairs of shoes for 2 kids who will outgrow them in 6 months. Ridiculous.

Lovelybangers · 23/02/2017 20:55

What face creams was the wife using?
