The bit where she said she was in the kitchen making the bottle for 45 minutes got me baffled...when you saw the pictures of the bed sit/ flat where they lived the prom was just outside the kitchen door right by the double bed so how could she have avoided seeing/ checking on the baby even if she went straight to bed? How ever attentive a father is at some point in 45 mins you'd check on dp and baby and maybe even change/ check baby before bed my only guess is that she may have had a row with Kyle BEFORE she went into the kitchen and that's why she shut the kitchen door.

Juicyfrooty · 08/02/2017 23:53

There were even videos on Facebook that kenzey had posted of the baby having seizures, she was asking for advice. They do now seem to have been removed.

salsmum · 09/02/2017 00:19

I also wondered if she had got pregnant with her second child because she thought that might help her case in court? There was a film called small sacrifices where a mother attempted to kill her 3 children in the car (American case) she appeared in court heavily pregnant because she thought she would avoid jail...I'm not sure if it said the age of her second child but could it be the case against her was adjured and in the meantime she agave birth? Sadly shaken babies suffer so much in their lives and it can also lead to early death because of all the added complications associated with the injuries.

The link above explain a little more about the charges.

Alfieisnoisy · 09/02/2017 08:25

Just watching it now. The only time she shows animation is when she is reading letters from the boyfriend.

She isn't guilty of the baby's injuries.but she IS guilty of minimising the risks he posed to that baby and also of being in utter denial about the events which led up to the phone call to 101.

She will lose all future babies too unless she really addresses this and acknowledges her mistakes. Continuing to see her boyfriend and getting pregnant with a second baby while the first baby was so gravely injured and he was being accused of that shows naivety behind belief.

I've just finished it on catch up. I tend to agree with Dame, my feeling is she was much more complicit in the abuse than either of them admitted. There was something about her refusal to admit he'd done anything and his desperation to exonerate her which just didn't sit right. It felt like she was tied to Kyle because she needed him to keep quiet. And there was quite a bit of volatility just below the surface with her.

I've read the serious case review and it appears Kenzey also admitted unprovoked domestic violence against Kyle. Plus a lot of people are making presumptions of some sort of background of victimhood for Kenzey and her mother to make excuses for them but the SCR does not say any of these are accurate.

BakeOffBiscuits · 09/02/2017 10:08

That's interesting about the SCR Bill. I wonder why that info wasn't presented in the documentary? Her law team didn't refer it at all, so did they knew about it? Did SS know? So many questions!!

I would love there to be another docu about this case but with involvement from prosecution, medical staff etc.

MadHattersWineParty · 09/02/2017 10:14

How do you read the SCR?

BillSykesDog · 09/02/2017 11:41

Pm'd you.

BakeOffBiscuits · 09/02/2017 11:42

Is it in the public domain Bill?

Afreshstartplease · 09/02/2017 11:43

Also interested about the scr

friendlyflicka · 09/02/2017 11:44

Me too

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/02/2017 11:46

Could I have a PM too please?

Juicyfrooty · 09/02/2017 11:56

I'd like to read the scr too if possible.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 09/02/2017 12:04

The SCR is available publicly. It annoynimised so can't see a reason to not post the link?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 09/02/2017 12:05

it's

Juicyfrooty · 09/02/2017 12:07

There's lots of them on the nspcc website but I couldn't find anything that sounded like this case

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 09/02/2017 12:10

Not all are in the NSPCC website. It's on the local borough website. I can't recall if that was specifically mentioned in the programme. I think it was though - right at the beginning re: the emergency call.

BillSykesDog · 09/02/2017 12:16

It's on the website of the council. Don't want to link direct as not sure if okay because of anonymity.

I think it's fine bill - it is annonymised but obviously the parents are identified by virtue of he fact that one took part in the filming and both were identified as part of the criminal proceedings.

The proceedings were held at Blackfriars (per the reports and TV) which somewhat narrows down where the offence took place

Afreshstartplease · 09/02/2017 12:27

Can someone pm me too

laki139love · 09/02/2017 12:34

I really want to read the SCR too. It wouldn't have been published until after the judicial processes were completed so the legal teams would not have had access to the findings. The purpose of an SCR is very different to the criminal case. Bill if you aren't comfortable sharing the link are you able to give any guidance as to how you found it as I did struggle when I searched (and I'm used to looking for these!)

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/02/2017 12:41

I googled ' Camden council serious case review child B'
