Oliver has much more design sense that Shaida I think.

SingSongSlummy · 12/01/2017 20:56

I want Oliver to win - he dealt with a lot very calmly

iklboo · 12/01/2017 20:56

Soooooo. The rules of interior design appear to be 'completely ignore what the homeowner wants / likes & just do your own thing as long as it's 'on trend'?

Cedilla · 12/01/2017 20:57

LOL @ Spotted, Slummy and WellErrr

fourquenelles · 12/01/2017 20:57

No surprise there

SingSongSlummy · 12/01/2017 20:57

Hurrah - right choice

TheSpottedZebra · 12/01/2017 20:59

Did LBB have the yellow trousers there? Is it his turn?

PurpleDaisies · 12/01/2017 20:59

Little bit behind now-had phone call. Love Oliver's wallpaper and the colours on the walls.

TheSpottedZebra · 12/01/2017 20:59

I reckon Shaida's coming back...

felixthecar · 12/01/2017 21:01

I'm on next

TheSpottedZebra · 12/01/2017 21:04

Oooh! Did you get one of the already-known people, or the mystery wildcard?

PurpleDaisies · 12/01/2017 21:06

I really liked shaida's second room. Right decision though.

Fontella · 12/01/2017 21:08

Right choice again tonight!

First time also that I've really liked lots of parts what the winner did. Apart from a couple of minor things, I thought he nailed that front room and I just loved the colours in the spare bedroom. I'd really like to try something like that in mine!

I bought paint to do the whole house last year and then my mum died - so had all that to deal with and the aftermath. All the decorating went out of the window.

Was able to start on son's room while he was away at uni and went to get paint and some fucker's stolen all my unopened tins out of the shed. 200 quid's worth of paint!!!

However, after seeing Oliver's room tonight, everything I bought was very 'safe' so I might just go and try something a bit more colourful,

dillite · 12/01/2017 21:09

The right person went through.

Smallangryplanet · 12/01/2017 21:10

Shaina's 80's spare room paint effects room was utterly shite. I didn't like the butterfly room much. Not sure how either couple will watch Netflix tbh.

Felix - I can't wait to see your room.

dillite · 12/01/2017 21:16

Oh no Fontella that's awful! Fuckers. Hopefully that paint was all rotten from being stored in a shed for so long and they didn't get to use it.

ZaZathecat · 12/01/2017 21:18

I wonder what happens to all those screens and cabinets and other ingenious ways of hiding the tv after the show. I bet the home owners ditch them as soon as they sit down for their first box set binge.

ZaZathecat · 12/01/2017 21:20

I mean can you imagine it: 'Pass the remote darling - oh hang on, can you go and move the screen into the corner first? No not there, I can't get out of the door...'

CremeEggThief · 12/01/2017 21:25

I thought tonight's were the strongest designers of the week. I liked their rooms, on the whole. I would have been happy to see both of them go through.

QueenOfTheHighCs · 12/01/2017 21:27

Zaza nope- The beautiful tv cabinet that we were made is still used daily. I love that the tv is not on show throughout the day.

hollyisalovelyname · 12/01/2017 23:46

I thought they were both good tonight...well better than last night.Smile
It was a tough decision.

ZaZathecat · 13/01/2017 08:11

That actually is a beautiful TV cabinet Queen, and made like TV cabinets of old - you open the doors and close them after and they are not in the way of anything. The screen on last nights show was pretty naff when seen close up, and would be so annoying to move away and back again to watch TV, same goes for many of the ideas these designers have - and their cabinets are generally made of clapped together bits of MDF.

ZaZathecat · 13/01/2017 08:13

Queen I just saw you have THAT rug! Was your house on the show?
