I had a discussion about Mr Hardy's sexiness on Facebook following the CBeebies thing... and my TH obsessed friend had never heard of Taboo. I NEEDED that GIF to illustrate exactly why she should be watching it, but I couldn't find it.

I had to make do with one of the screen grabs of his naked tatooed body charging around in the river instead. Hard times.

I think it was common to line baths in them days. Maybe because they were made of copper or other metals, and would have been uncomfortable, even dangerous (sharp/rough edges) if they weren't lined?

I'm finding it all a bit ponderous, TBH. Deep and meaningless. Yes, yes, yes, we get that he is a grunting sociopath/deeply troubled soul. Yes, we get that he is haunted by water and the sub Japanese horror image of that black-haired yin in the pond. Yes, we get that London was dirty and full of low-lifes. I'm a bit sick of all that now. Just want it resolved.

See, I would argue that the best thing about most of the episodes are that there are plenty of scenes in which he shuffles about in a nightgown with bare legs... with his thigh tatoos just visible.

I didn't see that, but surely TH would be a Police dog handler, or work at Battersea Dog's home. Preferably while filthy and bearded.

I'm another one who likes dirty . I also confess I don't mind the filthy nightshirt.

He killed his sex appeal stone cold dead the day he wore that white vest. Never to be recovered. I read an interview with him where he talked about that embarrassing debacle - he insists it was genuine, but regrets the damage it has done to his appeal.
