My favourite bit of TLD was Mycroft finally deciding to acquire a goldfish

Sherrinford could just be gatiss and Moffat messing with us though - some other contact of mycroft's, not a sibling.

I think Sherrinford is the name of the facility she was being held at. "I'll call Sherrinford." "Sherrinford is secure."

And I think the 'three' line was just to get people's knickers in a twist - there must be four! We get three episodes every 2/3 years, there isn't time to properly deal with two more Holmes siblings!

I bloody knew there was something fishy with that woman on the bus, Sherlock and mycrofts sister.. why is she so unhinged I wonder, cant wait for episode 3 really enjoyed 1+2, wish it would go on longer!!

The BFI preview screening is taking place this evening; if you want to avoid spoilers then might be a good idea to not poke around on tumblr/the reddit group and so on over the next couple of days because plot points and reactions will inevitably leak out.

I watched it last night & had no idea re the 3 women. Am short sighted so I'll use that as an excuse. Wasn't keen on Dead Mary/ that's a bit hackneyed now.
Agree re Benedict looking hot!

I really like the actress who plays the sister. That must be an actor's dream actually - getting to show off how versatile you are in a big show.

I'm finding this series really silly.

I found it too silly as well. Too many twists and turns, I like old fashioned stories.
It would have been hugely improved in my opinion by

1. Ditch the ghosty Mary. Ghost characters is being done to death by the BBC at the moment. I hated it in Last Tango in Halifax and I hate it in this. Let the dead stay dead. If you want to keep an actress in the series don't kill her off.
2. The Sherlock sister thing. That was just too convoluted and silly. Why can't John just have had an emotional affair with a random woman like so many people in real life do. Why does it have to be part of a sinister plot? Her also being moon face's pretend daughter was also silly.
3. More Lindsay Duncan. I love her.

It always has been silly though! See lestrade rushing through London with full back up when Sherlock needed help with his speech, for example. Clearly he would text or call back first IRL.

I just loved Mrs Hudson.

Just be careful folks, apparently the Russian version of tonight's episode has been leaked online so avoid if you want to miss the spoilers.

Also, and I'm probably being bossy, but this thread is likely to be filled with spoilers as the show airs so if you don't plan on watching until later then don't come on here and complain that it's been ruined for you!

I already ran into a few spoilers after the BFI screening this week. On the plus side, it sounds good!

The Sherlock section of Tumblr was in meltdown over one of them... (Not A Spoiler Really Unless You're a Johnlocker - apparently John and Sherlock do NOT snog in tonight's episode!)

Sorry guys I'm not loving this at all. Feels like it's too clever for its own good. And subsequently quite boring.

I'm really not liking it all. Far too dark for me.

This episode isn't really enjoyable. Too far fetched.

If she's such a psycho they will all end up dead anyway so what's the point? Hoping for a twist.

It's really predictable and a bit GCSE drama
