Hopefully , someone went to watch poor Matt, and everyone got back from Helsinki in one piece.

The duets for tonight are rumoured to be

Saara
Adam Lambert, possibly singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

Her other song is 'Everybody wants to rule the world' Not sure if it will be the dirgey Lorde version- but since we've ditched Emily, hopefully not.

Matt

Poor Matt. Sam Smith wouldn't duet with him, or James Arthur, so surprise !! it's .... Nicole! probably. No idea of song.
Other song possibly Jesse Glynne's 'Take me Home' .

5 after Midnight

Duet rumoured to be with - no-one knows. Probably someone from Westboyshoite knowing Louis.
Solo song- Crazy in love by Beyonce.

Simon has flu apparently and might not be there.

Very sad news about Louis Tomlinson's mum this week, he is due to perform this weekend. That will be hard for him .

Haven't heard what the actual winner's song is yet, wonder if it is still one by Ed? Since this was meant to unsuitable for 5AM the show's producers will be wanting to push for a Saara /Matt win, surely.

Anyway, I have lots of boring stuff to do, but need nibbles and something to get me through the show.

See y'all later.

I love Madness.

dillite · 10/12/2016 22:04

No superstars to perform tomorrow either then.

Raahh · 10/12/2016 22:04

Kylie and Madness??

Fuckin'ell.

NoelHeadbands · 10/12/2016 22:05

Til tomorrow X Bitches

littlemissM92 · 10/12/2016 22:05

Can't believe how brave Louis was after losing his mum 3 days ago so sad

squoosh · 10/12/2016 22:05

Kylie and Madness? Confused Grin

How current!

With a special appearance from the Chuckle Brothers, and Henry Kelly of Going for Gold fame?

BitOfFun · 10/12/2016 22:25

I saw Suggs at my garden gate the other day. First sign of madness.

Roussette · 11/12/2016 08:09

Yes what madness is this but as Suggs has been everywhere I look trying to revitalise his career I'm not surprised! And Kylie was on Jonathon Ross last night.

deloresclaiborne · 11/12/2016 08:39

i know im late coming to this thread but didnt thay use to have big stars dueting with them like beyonce and robbie williams
there must be no money left in the pot if thats the best they can come up with
the group got last years winner(who)
matt got nicole
and saara got some bloke called adam who works in asda ok i made the last bit up

LineyReborn · 11/12/2016 08:59

Saara seemed quite keen on Adam.

The80sweregreat · 11/12/2016 09:27

Saara got the long straw last night. But then I like Adam.

I am a madness fan, but i think Suggs and co should stay a bit 'underground' , just do the nostalgia gigs. Anyone under 40 isnt that interested despite all the new material.
Kylie is hanging on by a thread too! ( bless her gold hot pants)

Deadsouls · 11/12/2016 17:57

So disappointed that Matt Terry is in the final. So yawnsome. Hope 5 after midnight do very well despite not winning
Think One Direction and JLS who both went on to overshadow the eventual winners

dillite · 11/12/2016 18:06

Are Madness the ones that made one of those truly terrible Christmas songs?

happychristmasbum · 11/12/2016 18:42

I like Adam too, but I think Saaaaara would be barking up the wrong tree there Smile

dillite I don't think Madness made a Christmas song did they?

The80sweregreat · 11/12/2016 18:56

I think your thinking of Slade dillite. ( or wizard? )
Madness didnt do a festive song.

nancy75 · 11/12/2016 19:21

I'm sorry to report that madness did indeed do a truly terrible xmas song m.youtube.com/watch?v=XfeuSxOYoCY

Raahh · 11/12/2016 19:26

Since Saara has just got engaged to her girlfriend, I don't think she was that into Adam Grin.

Madness and Kylie is really not what we've come to expect from X factor finals. it's pretty poor- and there has been a bit of a back lash that Honey G got preferential treatment last night too. Will we get a special performance from Ryan tonight? I doubt it Grin

Clearly sending the battle bus to Helsinki cost a bit, not to mention renting the crowds, and they are having to cut corners. I'm surprised Louis Walsh isn't singing, tbh Grin.

I have mulled wine tonight, trying to find the festive spirit that seems to be eluding me.

It's funny, when you think of Christmas songs- but the most 'recent' classic song is probably Mariah's 'All I want for Christmas'. There really hasn't been anything I can remember written in the last 21 years. Both that, and 'Fairytale of New York' (from 1988!)have charted again this week, which says a lot really.

nancy75 · 11/12/2016 19:31

The darkness, don't let the bells end is probably the most recent successful xmas song

The80sweregreat · 11/12/2016 19:36

Raahh, not feeling the christmas vibe either mate. Its a pain. Work, cooking , expensive, a let down mostly.. I could go on,but i wont.
Nobody writes an xmas hit nowadays.

Raahh · 11/12/2016 19:41

nancy- yes, that's probably one of the last ones before everyone stopped bothering because Christmas had already became all about the reality tv show number one. (Girls Aloud were number 1 the year before- I only remember, because it was the week ds was born). Grin

I think it should be compulsory that the X Factor song be festive. Apparently the Ed song does make reference to Christmas. I hope so.

Raahh · 11/12/2016 19:45

A lot of songs at this time of year are songs from ads as well, which has become a new-ish thing. JL have only been doing Christmas ads 10 years or so.

It makes me laugh when I see the Now Christmas album being advertised it can't have more than a half a dozen songs on it that are new, compared to when when I sold it in 1993!

I have dd2's nativity to go to this week. I'm hoping it cheers me up. She is ridiculously excited, although it doesn't sound particularly traditional Grin (It appears to be based on Strictly ).
