Time for a new thread.

I am hoping by the end of this thread Phelan will have disappeared, Anna and family will have moved away and someone will have remembered to book a babysitter for baby Jack.

The thing is, Steph said Kev had had 3 pints and a double whiskey.

So..... Kevin, who hates Phelan, stood next to Phelan long enough to drink 3 pints and a double whiskey... He didn't go and sit as far from Phelan as possible? Didn't threaten Phelan? Didn't go to the rovers away from Phelan? Just stood there drinking funny tasting beer....

YEAH RIGHT..... COURSE THATS WHAT HE'D DO!

Now then, Andy... Quite willing and able to batter Phelan with a brick because he thought that Phelan had hurt his fake dad... Not willing to batter Phelan with a brick when Phelan is actually and factually threatening to do all sorts to Steph? MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

and why is it that hidden cameras are only useful when a stalker is stalking, a Dictaphone is only useful when it comes to admitting you don't want to get married? Noone ever thinks that maybe they'd be useful when they're being blackmailed and threatened? Weird that...

I don't mind watching soaps when they make sense.
Corrie doesn't seem to make sense right now. Noone is behaving in a logical kind of way.

I'm guessing garage had a fire door at back so he would got out that way. Can't just have one entrance with petrol around. I thought odd to leave Kev sleeping in car in cold with door open anyone could have stolen anything! Should have locked up then Kev could least got out said fire exit.

Now stef knows truth she may twig why Kevin got so drunk with him next on bar. I think was first small garage that went up? Either way hardly think business is ruined. Given it supports 4 adults yes if still paying for bits but he was rich man on block not long ago. Plus gym is closing too? Because of 14k debt? Dosnt make sense ESP as Dec has shop and take away does nobody make any more ever?

Same in all soaps the single parent with 6 kids had same life style as someone with 5 business. They don't go on Holliday have better hobbys or do anything different!

I'm glad others are confused. I thought I'd missed some when Kevin was putt but I'd not really been watching as it was so awful!

So dire that I have stopped watching.

They used to have the Docklands flats for rich people back in the day - Mike Baldwin, Dev etc.

You can also see the 'drama' coming a mile off. For example, if we hadn't had Bethany's stalker hanging menacingly round the homeless girl who stole David's wallet etc and they played him as a bit less pushy, it wouldn't be quite so obvious what he was up to....

Daniel is 22, is at university, yet seems to have no friends to hang around with, and no social life whatsoever apart from hanging around the kebab shop.

eddie everyone knows if you live on the street you are no longer allowed socialise with anyone outside the street. It's like a cult.

Exception is when plotline calls for a never seen or mentioned before mate to appear for five minutes (e.g. Steph's mate that went out with Robert) or when someone needs a couch to kip on (Robert's mate)

Has Tyrone gone in for a hair piece?

I read an article that said Tyrone had had a hair implant and was very pleased with it.

Looks someone's plonked a dead gerbil on his forehead.

Re Michelle's baby Ruiraidh

Liz and Sarah both gave birth to premature babies that didn't survive, also Kevin's son with Alison died very soon after birth and yet only Liz and Steve have mentioned Katie in passing

Wouldn't what happened to Ruiraidh have brought back awful memories for them all?

And will Andy own up to starting the fire on Phelan's orders?

That saga has gone on for far too long now

The dream sequence made me laugh. Dream Phelan is the viewer and the bit of 4x2 is the blunt edged storyline, they just keep battering us with it over and over again. (was it a deliberate nod back to the Phelan/Gary storyline? Reminding us how recycled the whole thing is?)

And wtf was the point of torching the garage but not destroying the laptop? Presumably it's now full of evidence against Phelan and Andy?

I also thought the bit where Steve confessed to Peter was awful. Mostly because Steve can do two emotional states, exasperated and angry. Chris Gascoynge can actually act and that scene really highlighted the difference between someone acting and someone who has (and can) only played one role and was selected because they were a bit like that character.

Have stopped watching. The phelan storyline jumped the shark a long time ago. It's lost its impact .

So sick of Phelan. Why didn't Steph warn Andy that Phelan was coming up to the flat or make it less obvious they were going away.

It is ridiculous now. No way would Andy have stayed in the flat and left sorting the laptop til the last minute. It is just a joke.

So Steph and Andy agreed there was no way Phelan could find out they were doing a flit. So they told Luke. And didn't tell Luke to keep it quiet. They could have made up some excuse for keeping it quiet. So lazy.

So Andy is dead then? If they let Phelan get away with this then that's the end of Corrie for me.
