I am hoping by the end of this thread Phelan will have disappeared, Anna and family will have moved away and someone will have remembered to book a babysitter for baby Jack.

I think today's writers confuse 'strong Northern woman' with having a character shout and nag unrelentingly. No subtlety in the writing.

Prof absolutely so, witg Michelle being the prime example of this.

Actually, most of the women Steve has been married to.

Yy-the writers seem to have confused "strong" with "gobshite".

I also was unaware of the 24 week rule and unlike many posters I thought both Simon Gregson and Kym Marsh did great last week. I take my hat off to both of them for going through with the story.

I thought everyone knew about 24week rule and viability day. Once you pass it you know child has more chance every day.

Is anyone else absolutely and utterly sick of the Phelan/Kevin storyline. I can't watch it anymore it is so utterly implausible.

I'm even more sick of Andy and Phelan, had to forward through them tonight.

I think what's happened is Phelan was popular first time round so they brought him back, but it's been dragged out far too long now. Wish they'd wrapped it up when Vinny left.

Ams me. Think the stillbirth has been done well, but ruined by the phelan stuff in between. It's ridiculous.

Totally agree.....was feeling so annoyed tonight that I was wasting my time watching the Phelan rubbish.It's being dragged out far too long. Am a Long term watcher of Corrie but almost turned it off tonight......die Phelan , die😠

I haven't been on a Corrie thread for ages. It really hasn't improved since the new producer back in the summer has it? I'm truly running out of optimism after tonight's episodes. As a pp put it - Drivel!

I was confused about which garage was burned down - Kev was asleep in a car in 'the garage', but not the one Andy was torching - was it the new big garage we never see anyone working in?

Nice to see Sally and Tim bringing a bit of light relief - although I don't think even Sally would really have been so insensitive as to go drinking in t'back with Tim and Steve while Michelle was there grieving.

What the fuck was that dream sequence about at the start? I thought that the bloody montages with music over the top interfere were bad enough.

as soon as it started last night with andy dreaming i thought what a load of crap, corrie use to be known for keeping it real ,now its like drama and didnt tyrone say to phelan that they cant delete the cctv as it goes straight on to kevs laptop and yet tracy and whats his name went in and deleted her flashing
andy was made to look like he was trapped in the garage and then he appears in his flat the story lines lately are just thrown together
and i know its a sad story line but i really hope they dont drag michelles misery out , maybe she could go to ireland for a while come back and have an affair with robert

This Phelan stuff is pissing me off

I had to turn it off when Phelan started pouring the vodka into Kevins beer, he must be an idiot if he didn't realise it tasted different, it was so predictable that I couldn't watch anymore, I decided an early night would be much more beneficial to me that than watching it anymore.

And as for Nick and his questioning about the baby, feck off Nick, you are a creep, horribly selfish and completely insensitive, what Leanne sees in him is beyond me.

I got totally confuddled, when Tyrone, Stephanie brother and the other guy left the garage they didn't even close the dirt behind them.......then Andy and Kevin were trapped in locked garage and then suddenly Andy in flat, and Kevin watching from outside
And would Kevin really be THAT drunk after the one drink albeit a spiked drink that he allowed Phelan to walk him to the garage and put him in a car??

What was the significance of the keys (dropped by Andy, I think)? Will the fire investigators be able to trace it back to him?

Were they Kev's keys?

I wonder if the police will suspect Kev of doing an insurance job? Needed money for Sophie's medical bills and borrowing from a business account and whatnot. Got pissed, let himself into the garage and decided to torch the place for the insurance.

Corrie went a bit Hollyoaks with the dream sequence. I think k they decided to take a break from reality for the entire episode to be honest.

Sally can be an arse but I think she would normally have more understanding than to sit and laugh and joke in the back room with a grieving mother sat upstairs.

There's no way at all that Kevin would have left the bar with Phelan, unless he was unconscious.

A beer with a drop of vodka in it wouldn't have left him in that state.

I was really looking forward to Phelan leaving with everyone's money - purely because it would have meant Phelan leaving!! I felt totally robbed when Vinny screwed him over, because now we're stuck watching him!
