I agree about Mary's story line. If the actress wants to leave, and they want her exit to involve going to live with her son they should have introduced him much earlier. She should have gone to stay with him for a couple of weeks, spent lots of time skyping and telephoning him and then decided to try moving to SA. There has been no mention of a DNA test. Surely Norris would be more suspicious.

I hope Mary is not leaving permanently. I like her character. However, the only way for her to come back now is if her happy ending goes wrong, and I don't want that either.

Did she leave? I haven't seen the latest episode. It's too far fetched, IMO that she would head off with him, just like that.

What the fuck was the point in the Mary storyline ? . Pointless in every way. And the phelan storyline ran its course six months ago. Its amateur rubbish. I'm so over it.

Rachel She changed her mind at the last minute. I thought the scenes tonight with her and Norris were very poignant.

What time of night was everything taking place? It was midnight when Jake/Jack was in the street, so was everything taking place in the small hours, including Leanne coming home? Anna seems fairly unscathed after that nasty tumble.

Found myself thinking tonight there wasn't a single storyline that rang true, or a single character I was sympathising with. Why has the waspish, unpleasant Norris become so saintly? Think I preferred him before!

To give a crap about spoilers means I give a crap about the stories and don't want them spoiled. There's nothing to spoil in corrie right now.

It is, and has been for a while, pointless meandering bullshit.
They put storylines on bits of card and put them on a target and then use a shotgun to pick which they'll go with. Blackmail.... Not seen that for at least a week. Love triangle.... Been at least a fortnight since that. Someone over hearing or seeing something they shouldn't.... That hasn't happened since at least December.

I think I'll go to the toilet for half an hour when the gf watches it. What I leave in the bowl is probably more original and interesting than what's left on the screen.

I used to post (quite prolifically) on Corrie threads, but hate spoilers. Also I don't read the magazines/newspapers that tend to carry them

So I stopped. But occasionally dip into one that's in Active, when there is no 'spoiler alert' in the title or 'spoilers welcome' in the opening post.

Because once you've read one, you can't unread it. And yes, that spoils things for me.

I should, I suppose have learned by now that there is no such thing as a Corrie thread on MN where you can just chew over what's happening.

I'm not, btw, expecting MN to change to suit me. Just thought I'd post something about how the posting of spoilers does actually spoil things for me.

I don't mind spoilers at all, but I know that some people do. There is a thread where spoilers can be posted.

I'm sure that a few episodes ago Andy was furtively moving a holdall on to the landing, and I thought he was leaving then. Did I imagine it?
