GrouchyKiwi · 29/11/2016 19:15

CaveMum · 29/11/2016 19:26

My teacher just s not me this link to a gorgeous Foxtrot demo: danceonvideo.com/dance-videos/incredible-movement-how-is-that-possible-andrew-sinkinson-natasha-karabey/

acurtis1234 · 30/11/2016 11:35

AmberNectarine I saw in my usual lurking on S&B that you got good seats and had a great time..any more backstage gossip to report?!

Tanaqui · 30/11/2016 19:42

I just read Minkseal- where was the Tyra banks reference?! How did I miss that?

Also, has anyone mentioned Louise's wardrobe malfunction? No one said a thing on ITT tonight!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 30/11/2016 19:45

Haven't caught up yet, so just place marking!

JennyHolzersGhost · 30/11/2016 20:54

Wardrobe malfunction whatwhat?

ppeatfruit · 01/12/2016 09:04

It was odd, in the waltz ,the front of it was open showing her bra? Or was it part of the dress that she didn't want shown, because it was closed up in the balcony scene (I think) . A bit odd but not a huge thing, it was'nt like her boobs were hanging out or anything Grin

FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile · 01/12/2016 09:08

Tanaqui

I couldn't find the Tyra Banks reference either.

FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile · 01/12/2016 09:09

ppeat

They will never do or say anything that would tarnish the dignity of St Louise, 2016 Champion of Strictly.

ppeatfruit · 01/12/2016 09:21

Nah Flappy The champion will be Ore if I have anything to do with it. I LIKE that he shows his emotions , it doesn't affect his dancing which is effing brilliant IMO and he has improved A LOT !!!!!!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 01/12/2016 14:23

Monkseal's all-in-capitals rant at Ed was a riff on Tyra Banks moment: "We were all rooting for you!"

CaveMum · 01/12/2016 14:37

Re. Louise's dress: most of the dresses are made of a bodysuit with a skirt, sleeves, etc attached. It looked to me like the fabric of the top was designed to show part of the bodysuit as it hung very loose.

I thought the whole top looked a bit odd - too billowy around the waist, making it appear a few sizes too big.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 01/12/2016 15:05

Fucking hell Tyra Banks! Shock Need to go back and read Monkseal now, the thought of him adressing Ed like that was making me giggle whilst at the same time cringeing for that poor girl.

FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile · 01/12/2016 15:09

OnlyLivingBoy

Thank you for that Tyra link.

My, what a patronising witch she is . . . if you don't emote all over the place when they chick you out, then you've let your Grannie down, and yourself, and the ENTIRE CONTINENT!

I think Ed got of easy Grin

ppeatfruit · 01/12/2016 17:09

But oddly it then got joined up cave I did notice it. Maybe it was because earlier she had requested 'modest' dresses.

ppeatfruit · 01/12/2016 17:11

Poor Vicki Grin she's on IT2 tonight. I loved Ian and Zoe's teaching us the tango last night, also loved her bright red blouse (so nice to see her in a COLOUR ). Xmas Grin

SoupDragon · 01/12/2016 18:08

I think Louise's dress was joined up all through the dance and at the results show but not when the judges bit was going on. I did point it out at the time further down the thread but it probably got lost as the thread moves fast

ppeatfruit · 02/12/2016 09:54

S'funny how we both saw something different Soup Xmas Grin I saw the opposite Xmas Grin

Just heard Len on R2 they were begging him not to leave because the judges have 'gelled' and, thinking about it, Len does seem better (he puts up with Bruno more happily) but maybe that's because he's leaving!!

SoupDragon · 02/12/2016 12:34

II even watched the dance again on you tube and her top is fixed all the way up to about 1m35s when it seems to start gaping .

And during the judging...

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 02/12/2016 13:58

Yes it was a malfunction - nothing drastic or exposing, just something you'd rather hadn't happened. I suppose it looked okay because the undergarment covered her midriff, so it wasn't embarrassing (as it would be if your bra was exposed on national tv). I agree Cavemum about the weird bagginess. It makes me wonder about the sense of the dress designers actually - a full, frothy skirt always needs a fitted top. Not only was it bad design, it did nothing to flatter Louise's best feature - she has a neat and trim waist, so why would you camouflage it with loose fabric?

JennyHolzersGhost · 02/12/2016 17:06

For the first few weeks Louise had loose tops on - I was wondering if she was a bit self conscious about her stomach area. But then she switched to figure hugging outfits which looked so much better and her figure was perfectly fine ! So I was surprised to see her go back to the billowy effect last weekend.
