As part 3 is full.

I'm having a day off due to illness, so am planning a re-watch from the beginning as have got used to the time switches that confused me at first. Quite looking forward to it - will pay extra attention to all things yellow, legs in fireplaces and anything else that you suggest. Probably cover my eyes at the drilla moment again though!

Much better than first series. Fantastic. Would have liked to see Lucy and Sophie reunited at the end. (Or did I miss that?)

poochiepants · 30/11/2016 22:02

I had that chilled feeling in me for the last 15 mins.......and such a strong final view!

Ollycat · 30/11/2016 22:02

So Stone was faking?

MrsFinkelstein · 30/11/2016 22:02

I don't think the Brig was faking it totally (surely his daughter would have spoken to his Doctor at some point?).

But I think he was exaggerating his symptoms, and his condition wasn't as advanced as he made out.

NoelHeadbands · 30/11/2016 22:02

Brilliant!

Loved how they didn't fanny about and leave too many loose ends

Inkanta · 30/11/2016 22:02

That was good!

whyistherumgone · 30/11/2016 22:03

I would have actually liked to see how Sophie and Alice reacted to each other once free - would they stay in touch? or shut each other out as they would be a reminder to each other?

That was brilliant. So tense and heartbreaking and uplifting all at once.

Cel982 · 30/11/2016 22:03

Yes I know we all know they look nothing like each other but why did Sam and Gemma ever believe she was Alice? I guess cos they were desperate but would have been good if the actresses had looked a bit more similar.

It was more than ten years, though, wasn't it? People change a lot between 11 and 22, I don't think it's impossible that they would have believed her, especially as they wanted to so badly.

Nowombattheinn · 30/11/2016 22:03

That was fantastic tv, and I think brig was faking too and Eve knew it. Gutted about Sam and really hope they do a series 3 with Baptiste - he was the star of the show.

FuckYouDailyMail · 30/11/2016 22:03

Wasn't the last word Baptistery saying 3 - is that Abbie hunt he will be back in series 3? I hope so.

FuckYouDailyMail · 30/11/2016 22:04

He not Abbie!

minesapintofwine · 30/11/2016 22:04

Im trying to think if they left any loose ends, apart from Baptiste?

I think that Baptise's "trois" means there will be a third series. I hope so anyway!

whyistherumgone · 30/11/2016 22:05

oh nice touch fuckyou I didn't notice.

so haunting when bapiste asked how many other girls there had been.

VulvaInLaw · 30/11/2016 22:06

I watched series one and remember feeling very 'WTF?!' at the end of ther series, feeling a lot more satisfied this time aroundGrin

Glad that Reed was a goodie not a baddie, my stomach was churning when Baptiste asked Gettrick about any other girls Sad

Definitely need something else to fill my Wednesday nights now!

MillieMoodle · 30/11/2016 22:06

Wow! What an episode. Had hoped Gettrick would have got a bit more of a battering.

So many questions though. Why doesn't Sophie want to see her dad? Why does Baptiste think there are/were other girls? How did Gettrick abduct Sophie from Paris when he was based in Germany? Was Brig faking dementia? I think he is and Eve knows it. Sad that Sam died but he was a bit of a twat to Gemma, making her think she was losing her mind about Alice still being alive.

Glad Henry was a goody though.

Noticed that Baptiste counted down to three - maybe hinting that there will be a series three and he'll be back? Hope so!

braceybracegirl · 30/11/2016 22:06

Cel982 yes true I just think when we first saw Alice I expected there to be more of a similarity. Anyway it was a great ending.

Riversleep · 30/11/2016 22:06

That was brilliant. I love how after all the conspiracy theories about Lucy being Alices baby and that she was going to turn on him, it really was as it seemed, and didn't need to be made more horrific.

I think what Eve saw in the Brigs eyes made her think he was faking. He called her 'darling', then immediately when she questioned him said he didn't know where he was. I'm sad that Sam died, even if he was a bit of a dick at times. I think even though Alice and Sophie don't look alike, the parents wanted to believe it was her, and no one else knew her as well, so they took the parents word for it. Everyone but Baptiste.

Brilliant drama

poochiepants · 30/11/2016 22:07

Ooh, good theory about a 3rd series Daily!!!

AnnieNoMouse · 30/11/2016 22:08

Stone started faking dementia as soon as Reed died. Must have gone to the doctor, described symptoms of dementia, then started faking it from there.
What a brilliant series, and ending, even if DM died.

CremeEggThief · 30/11/2016 22:08

Wow, that was amazing. No tears from me though. I wonder how life will turn out for Alice and Sophie and Lucy.

ImprovingMyMH · 30/11/2016 22:08

I think Baptiste's trois was just because there were three girls.

Elendon · 30/11/2016 22:09

A bitter sweet ending. Such an excellent drama. If it's not back, I'll chew on hats for the rest of my day.

All good things happen in threes.

I really have enjoyed all of the threads

absolutelynotfabulous · 30/11/2016 22:09

So Stone was faking, Sophie was Alice, and Reed was a goodie. Lena was the body in the shed, and dna was switched.

I don't think the waiter in the cafe scene was convincing.

Did Butcher walk away from wife in the end?
