As part 3 is full.

I'm having a day off due to illness, so am planning a re-watch from the beginning as have got used to the time switches that confused me at first. Quite looking forward to it - will pay extra attention to all things yellow, legs in fireplaces and anything else that you suggest. Probably cover my eyes at the drilla moment again though!

Just hope all loose ends are tied. But there's bound to be one they leave open to point the way to another series.....

AnnieNoMouse · 30/11/2016 19:23

Whoever mentioned Pringles as their snack of choice. I would caution against them. You might miss vital clues with a mis-timed crunch. Grin

AnnieNoMouse · 30/11/2016 19:25

Clawdy I think you mean you fancy the actor who plays Drilla, right? You do, don't you? Not Drilla himself? [backs away slowly]

AnnieNoMouse · 30/11/2016 19:27

I still think it might have been Real Alice who returned home, not FakeAlice/Sophie. Now Real Alice is being punished for "not behaving" and not saying the right things on her release, and Real Sophie who never left continues to be rewarded.
Maybe.

GrumbleBumble · 30/11/2016 19:30

Just sent hubby out for wine and........ matchmakers. He doesn't watch it so will be banished to his man cave for an hour.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 30/11/2016 19:37

Naw, only just caught up with all the episodes last night, so haven't been able to join the MNPD on these threads until now. I loved doing so during the last series, and this series is a LOT better.
Kinda sad that the Baptiste/ Tcheky Karyo appreciation society didn't turn out this time; we enjoyed sharing photos! Hope he doesn't pop his clogs after the solution so there can be another series.

Elendon · 30/11/2016 19:46

I have my birthday chocs (Lily O'Brien's) to munch and wine.

Did you know that there are 604,800 seconds in a week? I do hope no one has been counting them down.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2016 19:47

Blimey this is a big thread already! I am now reading it through, in preparation for tonight.

Bit annoyed that I can't watch it live, as I have to go and collect a child. In the cold! When it's The Missing finale!

I'm pretty sure that one of my theories will be proved to be correct. I have had so many theories that the probability is quite high...

FurryLippedSquid · 30/11/2016 19:49

Marking place: have found all the posts as gripping as the actual programme! Do you think Harry and Jack read these posts?

OP, think you might need to make Thread 5 now and be ready to post the link as I'm sure this thread is going to fill up VERY quickly come 21.05!

I have no theories to offer. I desperately want Baptiste to realise Jorn was onto Lena/Drilla. I can't believe no-one has trawled the history on his computer. They have GOT to find his body in the car in the car park otherwise I'm worried it will rot there forever. I seriously also hope that Alice isn't killed by Drilla and can be reunited with her parents, who decide not to separate. And Sophie gets reunited with her dad. And Baptiste makes it through his cancer...... See you on the other side folks.

GrumbleBumble · 30/11/2016 19:52

Now I know why I married him Smile

THE MISSING IS BACK - part 4
AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 30/11/2016 19:55

I think the car not moving, and no doubt the smell coming from it, will alert the German police. Then all the stuff on work computer and his last known movements will be properly looked at. And perhaps, not having any suspicions of Getterick, they'll turn up at his house (where Julien and Gemma are) and they'll help them open the padlocked basement.

Once they realise at least some of what Gettrick is, they'll alert his bank and find out where his last transaction took place. And the chase will be on.

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 30/11/2016 19:56

Did you know you can also get honeycomb Matchmakers now?

secondhoneymoon · 30/11/2016 19:57

Please could someone give me a précis of the last episode as I missed it and it's not on catch up. I'd rather watch tonight's live as I know people will be talking about it at work tomorrow. THanks!

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 30/11/2016 19:59

It's on the iPlayer if you want to watch it:

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08402n0/the-missing-series-2-7-1991

(Only 1-3 are missing)

It's a bit complicated to explain.....

LadyB49 · 30/11/2016 20:01

Errrrr..... how come Sophie and Alice look alike ?? Confusion plus for me.

My goodies.... chicken and mayo sandwich on granary bread with ice cold milk :)

Dozer · 30/11/2016 20:01

Envy grumble bumble.

I love to find out the plot but can't watch it as suffer from anxiety and can't even deal with what the film classification board calls "mild peril", let alone this! Will or won't watch it later depending on what MNetters say happens!

My hope is that all three are saved, driller arrested, Alice and family reunited and Baptiste, having helped (like he couldn't help poor James Nesbit) able to stop to attend to his health.

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 30/11/2016 20:03

"Errrrr..... how come Sophie and Alice look alike ?? Confusion plus for me."

Driller has a distinct 'type' and selects prey accordingly?

LadyB49 · 30/11/2016 20:05

Ta... they looked like twins to me..... duh...

secondhoneymoon · 30/11/2016 20:06

Ok, thanks, AllPowerful, I didn't think to check via laptop as Our catch up uses iPlayer so just assumed it wouldn't be there, can just about squeeze it in.

whyistherumgone · 30/11/2016 20:10

They are indeed matchmakers whoever asked - sorry on mobile and won't let me scroll. I blame this thread for all the matchmakers consumption that will happen tonight.

You watch next series will be sponsored by matchmakers such is the power of MN.

I am ridiculously excited - which means it can't possibly live up to my expectations!

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 30/11/2016 20:16

I'm almost reluctant to watch, as it can surely only be a damp squib after all this build up and all these theories!

Dulra · 30/11/2016 20:20

So excited very jealous of all the choc and wine I'm doing slimming world so trying to be good Hmm.

Can't wait to see whose theories were right

BestIsWest · 30/11/2016 20:21

Also marking place. 40 minutes to go. I will miss it terribly next week.

GrumbleBumble · 30/11/2016 20:22

whyistherumgone I keeping thinking about the next sales meeting at matchmakers HQ everyone will be scratching their head trying to work out why sales peaked on 30th November.
