Trailer of lots of people with angst and not Phil Collins here. There's another trailer on the Homeland FB page but I can't find a non-FB page to link to. 15th January in US so I reckon 22nd for us - it's usually a week later.

So - Salieri/Dar Adul features prominently and Carrie has some issues with him. Someone's having a torch shone on their pupils - does that mean Quinn's alive but non-responsive? Baby Brodie is now school-aged. Could I be more excited?

I thought it bloke across the street, wasn't that where he went the night Weasle followed him?

Timetogetup0630 · 12/02/2017 22:07

Well Sudoko being used as a scapegoat and a faked terrorist attack in NYC.
At least it gets Saul "Out of Jail".

PseudoBadger · 12/02/2017 22:07

It was the same place.

OneWithTheForce · 12/02/2017 22:09

Yes I am assuming the man Quinn was spying on planted the bomb.

coco who is the baddie?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/02/2017 22:09

Same place, same vans.

TheSpottedZebra · 12/02/2017 22:10

They're setting up Carrie?

They being The Baddies.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/02/2017 22:12

But why?

They didn't know she was working with the PE when they started watching her.

Unless it's the PE's advisor. I don't like him.

intheknickersoftime · 12/02/2017 22:12

How am I supposed to wait two weeks??? Wtf channel 4!!

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/02/2017 22:12

Oh hang on, Otto knows....

Ciutadella · 12/02/2017 22:15

I think the man Saul met in the middle of the night was the ultra baddie who Saul forced to do a deal with him after he (baddie) murdered his wife, in order to put him in a negotiating position in Iran. (And Quinn destroyed the evidence of the murder.) All that time ago in series 3. Anyone agree/disagree?

So do we think the bomb wasn't the co-workers but the man in the flat opposite? In which case is it just coincidence that they're opposite Carrie - I thought Quinn was worried that he was spying on Carrie but in fact he's a terrorist who happens to live in the same street?

Lots of question marks..

OneWithTheForce · 12/02/2017 22:16

I'm so confused. There are too many people involved! Go back to the old days when it was just Carrie and brodie and whoever the baddie was then. Nadir? Nazir?

intheknickersoftime · 12/02/2017 22:17

Ciutedella, I concur. So much has happened previously but I do remember ultra baddie.

Cocolepew · 12/02/2017 22:18

The baddie is the bloke across the street.
Last week I thought it would turn out Quinn was imagining it and was paranoid.
I'd make a shit agent.

intheknickersoftime · 12/02/2017 22:18

That's why Saul was looking at the cigarettes.

OneWithTheForce · 12/02/2017 22:19

I thought Quinn was worried that he was spying on Carrie but in fact he's a terrorist who happens to live in the same street?

Oh hes not a terroris! He is working for FBI, or maybe he is CIA. He is making it look like sudoku/Carlton was a suicide bomber. Very easily done because Carlton was very publically obsessed with suicide bombers.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/02/2017 22:19

Oh! I do remember the wife now. Do you think it's the same?

The man opposite was definitely watching Carrie, they tried to break into her house, that's how Quinn noticed them.

Cocolepew · 12/02/2017 22:20

I think you are correct about Ultra Baddie Ciutedella.

Cocolepew · 12/02/2017 22:21

There was a blacked out suv behind Carlton as he went around the corner.

OneWithTheForce · 12/02/2017 22:22

Would it be very wrong of me to use this mid term break that I have booked off work to watch all of homeland from the start again so i can work out who these people are?

Cocolepew · 12/02/2017 22:26

I think you'd be doing us all a favour Grin

OneWithTheForce · 12/02/2017 22:27
Grin

That's all the encouragement I need. Doing my bit for the community.

TobleroneBoo · 12/02/2017 22:29

I think when Quinn broke onto that guys apartment, there was a framed photo of, I think, carltons mum and sister?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/02/2017 22:32

I agree we need a refresher course in the fine art of recognising baddies.

some of you more than us

Ciutadella · 12/02/2017 22:32

in the knick, 'what' is why saul was looking at the cigs? I still haven't worked that out!

Ah, so fbi has set up the young man? that leaves Carrie with rather an awful moral burden - if she hadn't forced them to release him he would still be alive. (Though I know the true culprits are the fbi, but will she blame herself for not forseeing it?) as the lawyer said, the centre's job is to defend their clients lawfully...He wasn't pleased about carrie's off piste action to get him released, and it's turned out v badly for his client.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/02/2017 22:35

Of course she'll feel guilty. She always does.
