So, Sophie Giroux returned pretending to be Alice Webster. DNA results on the body in the shed confirm she is related to Sam.

Baptiste has found out about Henry Reed and the Brigadier being involved with a 9 year old girl in Iraq in 1991. Henry Reed was paying this girls brother.

There are 3 girls in the rollercoaster photo, Sophie, Alice and possibly the girl from Iraq? She has that colouring.

Henry Reed apparently committed suicide although Julien told Daniel he didn't. Whatever Daniel found out about him made him sick.

Nadia has been badly beaten and her husband is still in prison after being identified by Sophie/Alice. Matthew was made to promise to say sorry to the butcher.

Sophie is now in Switzerland. As is the newly spray painted yellow campervan that abducted Alice. Gemma and Baptiste doubt the DNA results as they are still looking for answers 2 years after she returned.

Birds keep being mentioned. Sophie and Alice both had the Web tattoo on their wrists.

I think the 3 were reed stone and drilla killa. I think the girl in shed was Alice and lena was kept in basement with her daughter the little girl until drilla kills her off to join Sophie in Swiss. What was the point if the surrogacy story? To add confusion?

Also I think I saw butcher in the brothel with a girl.

I think Sophie became close to drilla and when she needed urgent medical help with her appendix she was allowed out by drilla who killed reed (who argued for her to be released ) so he could tie up ends and put an end to the whole sorry saga. With stone already suffering from dementia only red needed to be got rid off so drilla and Sophie could stay afresh. I think Sophie was talking of Alice when she came back and said the other girl was weak and malnourished. So when Alice died they put her in the shed. Can't wait for next week.

The butcher is in prison so it couldn't be him the brothel.

But eve took brig back to hers which was where Sam looked after him. So it went, his home, eves home, care home

I was thinking that it made sense for the girl in the shed to be Alie-with the DNA-simplest explanation.

We know that Sophie has given birth athough.

Also, Sophie burnt the glasses-is that relevant?

What if Sophie killed Lena as she wants to be with Gerrick?

Alice died "naturally".

On a side note, I feel very slovenly for not having clocked the washing line situ

When Sophie puts the glasses on the fire it almost looks as if she's having to contain herself not to be sick.

Agree that it does look like a foot (albeit one with toes amputated) and lower leg in the fire...

So many possible theories, but what scares me the most is that we haven't even seen the clips taken from the trailer aired ages ago..

When and where was the foot log please?

I didn't notice the lack of prop but I did notice she left her pegs on the line when not in use. Which I hitched my bosom at.

In series 1 there was a lot of speculation about paedo rings and far fetched theories. The actual truth had nothing to do with any of it. Given all the 'clues' and early information we have been given so far, it's probably nothing to do with a lot of this that we've seen so far. It can't be paedo ring and I don't believe it's a case of rescuing abused girls or using young girls for surrogacy.

But what can it be? It's early to have revealed driller killer is involved but he obviously is. Unless they have gone down a completely different route with this series and it's and slow reveal/put the puzzle pieces together over the 8 episodes rather than a reveal at the very end.

Something has happened in the 2 years that has made Gemma and Baptiste doubt the DNA results. Gemma seemed to accept them when Eve told her at the hospital saying "so it really was her" and breaking down.

liverpool production on series 2 began in February this year, so I guess that trailer shown two years ago was specially shot from an early draft of the script to broadly represent the planned second series.

The bbc website has a synopsis of the next episode if anyone is interested. Obviously doesn't give any details but does hint at the next episode. I won't put the link here though

That trailer shows the bird necklace and various bird jewellery a lot.

One thing we do know is that is relevant to this series. But how much we don't know. The rest looks just like it indicates it's based around an army camp.
