Sad that lovely Pasha is out. Have quite taken to him since the lovely Artem left Wink

The judges seem to give Anastasia lots of love for her sassy attitude. I don't think dance-wise she'll go too much further.

So far I have found Ed less cringey than many of the past 'comedy' clebs. He remembers most of his routines and puts lots of effort in.

Do wish Tess could be less sickly and gushing. It's all too safe and fluffy near the judges, but then after last week...

MrsJayy · 17/10/2016 00:28

Tbh i fast forward through tess a lot she does rattle on a bit.

SoupDragon · 17/10/2016 03:31

Who the fuck keeps voting for ruddy Ed Balls to stay in??

I would much rather watch someone enjoying themselves and throwing themselves into the dance wholeheart someone just going through the motions. The vote is for who you want to see again next week, not for who is the best dancer.

Who the fuck keeps voting for ringers and people who clearly don't want to be there? I get very little enjoyment from watching Danny Mac dancing.

SoupDragon · 17/10/2016 03:32

throwing themselves into the dance wholeheartedly rather than someone just going through the motions

Cherrypi · 17/10/2016 07:37

Danny Mac could be getting very little votes and still stay in due to his high scores. In the first few weeks surely top of the leaderboard is always safe.

Runny · 17/10/2016 08:28

I like Kevin a lot as a pro, but I have to admit even I find the idea of his sister getting her hands on the glitterball before he does, after three consecutive finals, slightly ammusing.

ZuleikaDobson · 17/10/2016 08:42

I don't warm to Danny Mac at all, but actually I did like watching him both last week and this: his shaping in the Paso was superb, and I enjoy a well-done quickstep anyway. However, I think it will get tedious as it becomes evident that he isn't developing and is essentially just going out and doing what comes easily to him.

MrsJayy · 17/10/2016 08:53

Yes I like Dannys dancing and Oti is a great dancer glad she didnt get a duffer this year but its all going to be samey after a while and a bit dull, I dont think there is anything wrong with having celebs that can dance though because they all get trained at stage school but I get bored of them.

ppeatfruit · 17/10/2016 09:23

Well I agree with the pp who said Anast. just seems to hang round Brendan's neck (btw he doesn't seem ill to me just not effing spray tanned like a sausage!!!!). I like Natalie but her spray tan fgs .

Anst. should 've gone, Just for her divaish comments and injuries. Though I agree that Naga didn't seem to be too bothered, sweet natured though. Anita last year would've won if it hadn't been for Gleb (its not a racial issue IMO).

Theromanempire · 17/10/2016 09:41

I don't think Danny will win because he isn't going to improve - his week 1 cha cha cha was bloody amazing!

The public love a 'journey' - Jay last year was timid and not that good in weeks 1& 2 and then did the Jive and blew everyone away! Ore is having that 'journey' although I am really hoping Greg has a breakthrough dance very soon Wink

CaveMum · 17/10/2016 09:47

I knew Brendan was ill, he tweeted about going to A&E a few days ago. I just meant he really does look bad (not just an off-hand comment). He kept putting his hand over his mike so that it wouldn't pick up his coughing and I noticed he paused at the top of the stairs, probably to cough again, before appearing in the crowd with Claudia after the dance.

ppeatfruit · 17/10/2016 09:54

Blimey Cave Shock even more reason for the stupid judges to have voted them OUT Shock He danced well considering.

ppeatfruit · 17/10/2016 09:55

Were they told I wonder?

DiegeticMuch · 17/10/2016 09:56

Danny seems nice but I really don't want a ringer to win. That's not the point of the show. I hope that they pick genuine celeb novices in 2017.

I think that Ed or Anastacia will leave next. Who knows though!

MrsJayy · 17/10/2016 10:02

What is a ringer? I doubt Danny will win but i never ever pick the winner so what do I know.

ppeatfruit · 17/10/2016 10:12

A ringer is a highly dance trained celeb. I Guessed that jay was going to win last year. But he lacked confidence so possibly not a ringer? Though just his arms made me think that he was trained.
What do you reckon about Anast, and Brendan MrsJjay ?

BeJayKayven · 17/10/2016 10:39

I can't take to Kevin at all - no idea what I'm talking about but I find his dancing a bit eh, frenetic compared to the other men, he makes me jittery

ZuleikaDobson · 17/10/2016 10:42

I feel quite sorry for ringers sometimes - with some exceptions, what tends to happen is that they get a long way but don't win, so they get all the work and none of the glory.

Queenbean · 17/10/2016 10:44

Anita Rani wouldn't have won last year, even paired with anyone else. She was alright but technically not very good and had the advantage of being small and light to toss around which makes people look better than they are

MrsJayy · 17/10/2016 11:04

I cant remember what Anastasia was like lots of posturing and wiggiy hips it must have been meh about them.

Wingedharpy · 17/10/2016 11:04

I think it's good that they select a mix of celebs regarding previous experience.
It would be fairly boring if they were all completely rubbish.
I like to see a dance well danced and don't care who is doing it but it's also great to see those folk who weren't good at the beginning coming on in leaps and bounds.
It will never be a completely fair competition though as generally speaking, the young have an advantage over the more mature (more stamina - though, Lesley Joseph could be the exception to that rule), those with performance experience have an advantage over the non-performers,the athletes over the mere mortals etc etc
But it's light entertainment and should be enjoyed as such and not taken too seriously (which is why I love Anton).

MrsJayy · 17/10/2016 11:13

When Anton was doing the group dance last night i thought he is great i forget he is a proper dancer Blush I love Anton he is great fun,

AlaskanSnow · 17/10/2016 11:52

Out of the female pro's is Natalie the longest running?

I quite like the ringers as a rule. I'd much rather watch decent dancing than a complete novice.
Aleesha, Denise, Natalie, Tom Chambers, Matt Baker etc vs the likes of Kate Garroway.
Not saying everyone has to be amazing (Chris Hollis, Jodie Kidd, Mark Wright) but there has to be some basic dance ability otherwise it's just cringy.

digerd · 17/10/2016 11:53

have loved watching the statuesque Daisy dance but being so tall she may have difficulty with the Jive and the Charleston. Can't remember if she has done them yet.

I too am hoping for a sudden surge of improvement from lovely Greg.

MrsJayy · 17/10/2016 11:58

Yes if they were all a bit rubbish you would be bored really quickly
