Loved it. Very gripping.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/10/2016 22:58

I think Alice is Alice and Sophie is missing.
Didn't Baptiste say he was looking for her?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/10/2016 23:02

I thought the tattoo was made while she was captive.

itypefast · 12/10/2016 23:03

Totally gripped
Terrifying plot
Loving all the theories here Smile

MoonfaceAndSilky · 12/10/2016 23:03

Was Alice only supposed to be 11 at the start, when she was abducted? She looked a lot older Confused

Who is Emily?
Alice can't be Sophie, Soohie was younger than Alice.

TallulahTheTiger · 12/10/2016 23:12

Wonder what was going on with 11yo Alice, tattoo and smoking? Am prob going waaay out here, but the boys the brothers with in present day, poss Nazi types? The spider tattoo is often synonymous with neo-nazis, odd thing for a young girl to choose.

RubySparks · 12/10/2016 23:16

Spider web - Webster?

Skye99999 · 12/10/2016 23:16

The girl we saw being taken was Sophie... As baptiste referenced the yellow camper as the clue in sophie's case not alice's. The girl who was returned to alice's family was...well I'm not sure I think also Sophie but could have been Alice....

EverySongbirdSays · 12/10/2016 23:18

There isn't an Emily!

My post was in reply to a poster called Emily and hesterton got confused over the name, separately to my post I think Grin

EverySongbirdSays · 12/10/2016 23:20

No, the girl we saw being taken was Alice as she was wearing her school uniform

The yellow campervan is the clue because that was the only lead they had in the Sophie case.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/10/2016 23:20

Wasn't the yellow camper the connection between the cases?

TallulahTheTiger · 12/10/2016 23:21

Am sure it's def Alice who we saw taken in the van, Sophie def looked a lot younger and was it not up by the dam we keep seeing? I'm now thinking how the girls may have struggled to offer verbal comfort to each other due to language barrier.

LarkDescending · 12/10/2016 23:21

Just had a look back at a screenshot of the newspaper clipping about Sophie Giroux's disappearance - she went missing from the Paris area, on her way home from school, aged 11. No date is visible.

EverySongbirdSays · 12/10/2016 23:22

Yes, Baptite wants to confirm it was a Yellow campervan, they don't know that it was yet, but we the audience do.

EverySongbirdSays · 12/10/2016 23:24

Sophie will have had pretty good if basic English, most likely. They start English lessons young in France

Manumission · 12/10/2016 23:29

The paramedic asks 'can you tell me your name?' and 'is there anyone we can call for you?' in quick succession and the girl answers 'Sophie Giroux', which the paramedic takes as an answer to the second question, but actually looked more like she was still answering the first.

Maybe Smile

Manumission I agree. I thought that it was odd that when the paramedic asked her her name and she said Sophie, that she didn't then assume she was called Sophie!

Why did they then think she was Alice? Maybe the tattoo? It would have been on all the police reports as a distinguishing feature when Alice was taken. Very shoddy police work if indeed Alice turns out not to be Alice.

Manumission · 12/10/2016 23:36

Yes that jarred.
