For those who loved it last time, will you watch after the let down of the ending? (Well I felt it was a let down, don't think there was a proper conclusion at all and still room for doubts as to whether he was still alive or not).

I loved it though and will definitely be watching the next series. I've seen the trailer and it looks very very good. Julian (think that was his name) is still in it. Looks like it is based on JayCee Dugard/Elizabeth Fritz type cases where they have gone missing as children and reappeared years later.

Cannot wait!

We are all assuming those scan photos are of the baby we know Eve was of with.

Could it be scans of the third girl? Could Eve and Sam have been having an affair a long long time ago?

Or going back to another theory - could the German 'boy' who works in the butchers be the third girl? We never see him/her clearly.

The dead body had a necklace matching the one worn by the third girl. Is fake Alice some kind of minder for the other girls? Has she been involved in the kidnappings....

Why dioes Sophie return just after Henry Reed's death, there must be a reason.

The brother said "what they did to her", I didn't assume they killed her....

She would be 34, if a 9 year old was taken in 1991, she would have been born in 1982 which makes her 34 in 2016.

Wartime atrocity - the Brig was the main perpetrator, but Reed also caught up. Afterwards Reed pays guilt money to the Iraqui museum curator. Aldi also somehow implicated, if only because of her failure to speak up. DM also involved?
Brig sets up butcher and sends round the boys to keep Aldi quiet - "don't protest your husband innocence", you know too much.
Brig continues to like young girls - hence the kidnappings. Ummmm….

The German boy who works in the butchers has down syndrome, doesn't he? Andreas, iirc.we saw him in episode 1.

There is a good image of the third girl/woman at 55:58. Appearance is consistent with being Middle Eastern and a bit older than the others.

The Necklace is definitely the one worn by FakeAlice in 2014. I know others think it is a cross/crucifix, but I still think it is a bird - eagle or similar, suspended on the chain from the tip of its widespread wings.

Don't forget Henry are ed apparently committed suicide but Baptiste said to Daniel that his father didn't kill himself so presumably someone murdered him. Surely it's too much this early to think the Brigadier has engineered it all, it's too obvious.

I reckon Nadia is more involved. She isn't talked about favourably by anyone and she was in Iraq at the crucial time. Maybe it's her with the fetish for being tied up which is why she deleted the photo as she gets off on it and didn't want that being brought to anyone's attention.

Maybe Reed knew about, buy wasn't involved with what Stone did in Iraq. But he felt guilty at he didn't stop it, (as the Brig was his superior?), so paid hush money. Or retribution monies. Maybe she wasn't taken, but killed, or injured by shooting? Or maybe raped.

I wonder if Brig's daughter was also pregnant through rape? And that's why 'she never wanted a family', 'it just didn't work out that way for her' etc etc.

I am still very much hoping this programme will not turn out to be about pregnant 11 year olds!

In episode 2 Brig and and his daughter are talking (it's 2014) and they mention his other daughter/her sister and does she know yet

Eve said that about not wanting a family because she lost her baby. Maybe she can't have any more? But then Sam has split with her because she wants a family.

I don't think they were taken to be save or rescued. Alice appears to come from a loving family.

Or maybe someone else is buried in Reed's grave, secretly, alongside him. So the flowers were for the other person, not Reed.

If the 9 year old from Iraq was raped her child would be around the same age as Sophie and Alice. Could this child be the third woman?

I like the idea that the 3 girls were taken to protect them from abuse... but then we know Alice had a child. Who is the father?
