For those who loved it last time, will you watch after the let down of the ending? (Well I felt it was a let down, don't think there was a proper conclusion at all and still room for doubts as to whether he was still alive or not).

I loved it though and will definitely be watching the next series. I've seen the trailer and it looks very very good. Julian (think that was his name) is still in it. Looks like it is based on JayCee Dugard/Elizabeth Fritz type cases where they have gone missing as children and reappeared years later.

I just don't buy her not being their daughter. Any parent has their dc's face imprinted on their brain. She wasn't missing long enough to have changed much.

It was definitely implied that the army man was the abuser. But she recognised the butcher too. But if it was an abuse ring why would they ever let her go after so long?

Reckon it was the army butcher wife who was involved,not sure re her husband. Maybe saw him in transit and he's being framed. Army suicide,person knew what was going on. She'd going to get burned for sure.

Shed

I still can't figure why the mum would be looking at the roller coaster pictures. Maybe looking for the girls while they were supposedly being held captive??

From the bird/turtle story, I am wondering if Brigadier bloke helped her escape and knows Alice was left behind. He was one of the birds holding the stick and he's telling her to go along with it, being Alice.

In the present day, Baptiste says they need to find Daniel and they will find who abducted the girls so it can't end up being the butcher.

Funny though, when they showed the picture to go in the media, then showed the butcher, I thought it looked like the same man then.

I think the baby could have been the dad's, when Eve said I don't want to hear about you family any more than you want to hear about the baby. Why would she say that if baby wasn't his.

Guessing shed is going to catch on fire (on purpose? Someone sets it as they think she is about to crack on what's really happened) and the dad tries to save her and the brother feels guilty because he is the one who locks her in.

Yes agree I think it's the butcher's wife who's involved somehow. And her husband has been set up by her and possibly the brigadier too. So complicated!
