I knew it!! That was brilliant!

YouHadMeAtCake · 16/11/2016 00:38

Absolutely love this show and the latest episode was excellent . I'm so used to binge watching other series I want more of this immediately Grin

Hellmouth · 16/11/2016 00:58

When he said "what door" we were

Me too!

I suspect there are more of them in the park than we realise. half the tech guys are probably hosts :D

Really excited to see what happens next!

Giselaw · 16/11/2016 08:14

Spoiler alert if you haven't watched last one

So I assumed as "it" was being done in the background, and they kept showing you the new host body being made that Ford is creating Teresa! Which explains why Bernard was studying her gestures and movements (remember when he coaches her about the defensive stance of crossing arms before her meeting with Ford?)

So is this the "secret" plan? Ability to kill important guests and replace them with hosts and send them back into the real world?

Also, Ford told Teresa the board already sent someone. Thinking about Ford's conversation with the man in black hat... I'm convinced that is the person the board sent, not the woman who is from the board. Ford didn't look phased by her at all while he did show respect for the man in black.

Anyone notice that Ford also prefers the company of hosts... He goes down for chats with the old cowboy, who is now obviously some sort of prototype, as you would your therapist. He said that's what happened to Arnold in the end when he lost himself...

Also not sure if anyone mentioned but if you google the two different logos theory - that supports the two timelines and I can't believe I missed it before! Definitely an older logo when white hat cowboy enters the park and when Bernard goes down to basement to access the old computer systems.

TheHiphopopotamus · 16/11/2016 08:15

So was the other woman who had been sent from the directors also a host, or had the conversation that she & Cullen had been relayed back to Ford by the host she'd been shagging? Confused

Also, is Ford making a copy of Cullen? Is that the host that was being made in the room underneath the cottage? I agree that Bernard is possibly a copy of Arnold, lots of evidence online for that, and it's also possibly a three timeline story rather than a two.

It's been renewed for a second season but won't be back until the end of 2017, possibly the start of 2018! I don't think I can wait that long.

TheHiphopopotamus · 16/11/2016 08:16

Ha, cross post Grin

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 16/11/2016 09:49

Anyone know how many more episodes to go? I already feel bereft at the prospect of this finishing.
I think Ford is making a new Teresa, but I'm not sure what his ultimate purpose could be. Is it just to die knowing he's left a hideous legacy behind? He's too old to see anything much come to fruition in his lifetime surely? Or maybe he already knows he's ill and is plotting against humanity due to bitterness - a bit like an extended 10 Little Indians scenario.

TheHiphopopotamus · 16/11/2016 10:22

Also had a thought that Logan might be the Man In Black rather than William. I can't believe that the older William would have been so horrible to Dolores after what they're now going through together.

My random musings on this topic are that William found the centre of the Labyrinth and never came back. Logan got left behind and keeps coming back to the Park year after year to try and find it (I'm probably totally wrong though).

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 16/11/2016 10:41

Marking place after watching this weeks as you fell off my tio :)

Giselaw · 16/11/2016 11:35

I think it's the man in black that is dying. He says something about not leaving the park this time, which gave me the impression he had just days to live not months. Which is why I thought Ford sped things up for him after the meeting.
Yes to the possibility it's William who's the man in black... You definitely see Logan (white hat) falling in love with Dolores don't you? And he's defended her before, so you wonder if he doesn't somehow die trying to save her?

Would also explain why Ford says they're not old friends to Dolores with such bitterness? Then again, maybe Dolores is molded after someone Ford knew. I read somewhere that in one flashback scene Dolores is at her own grave and brought up the possibility that the human Dolores was one of the founder's wife or daughter and is buried at the park?

Hopefully in next two episodes, terminal man in black will bite the dust and the mystery will be resolved.

Orangetoffee · 16/11/2016 11:43

10 episodes, only 3 more to go.

Kitsandkids · 16/11/2016 22:56

I really enjoyed this week's episode.

So, Bernard. Has he been a host every episode or was he a real person initially then replaced by a host a few episodes in? Like after he found the house maybe? Didn't he actually speak to his ex wife at one point? So she and his son aren't just implanted memories but they really did exist? When he was saying he couldn't be a host, just before he was deactivated briefly, was that the sort of real, able to improvise personality coming through then when he killed her was that in his cold diagnostic mode?

I thought Ford was meant to be a nice old man before this episode, but I guess not!

ijustwannadance · 16/11/2016 23:06

I still think the woman who died at the end will be Dolores's mum.

Part of me is gutted that 2nd series has been commissioned as they won't wrap it up. Hope they don't drag it out too long and ruin it.

The timeline thing has thrown me off this week because Ford was making a canyon last week which may/may not be the one Dolores and William found.

Is Ford a host too?

ijustwannadance · 16/11/2016 23:07

I do like the idea that he is replacing the staff one by one though.

TheHiphopopotamus · 16/11/2016 23:19

kits there's a theory on t'internet that it's three timelines instead of two. So when Bernard is talking to Dolores that may be Arnold way back in the past Confused Very confusing though, trying to work out what's what and at at the moment is only a theory.

GrabtharsHammer · 17/11/2016 11:11

Have you all had a play with this?

delosincorporated.com

lozengeoflove · 17/11/2016 21:21

Is the host in the basement that Ford is making, in fact Ford himself? This could be why he is so into reveries and making hosts as lifelike as possible? Perhaps he's finding a way to praise himself?

GrabtharsHammer · 17/11/2016 21:25

I think the host in the basement is Theresa.

BaronessTrumpingtonSmyth · 17/11/2016 21:37

I am loving this I don't want it to end. I thought Tuesday's show was brilliant. I thought that Teresa would turn out to be a host, suprised it was Bernard, can't wait for he next episode.

lozengeoflove · 17/11/2016 21:52

I meant immortalise, not praise.

TheHiphopopotamus · 17/11/2016 22:40

Maybe Ford is already a host and he's creating a host army to take over the world(s) Confused (I don't actually think that, but who knows?).

I honestly can't wait for the next season and this one hasn't even done yet. It's been the best thing on telly for ages.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 19/11/2016 10:01

Sorry to be a massive geek, but I just noticed this and it might be nothing but worth mentioning. When Maeve is walking through the town someone is putting up a wanted poster of Hector. Except the picture looks nothing like Hector. Could this be a clue that it is part of a different timeline and a different host is playing Hector (like how Dolores's dad got replaced?). I have included some pictures Blush

Ooh! Good spot.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 19/11/2016 10:55

Thanks Grab. Also, I have noticed that near the end when Theresa is looking at the papers with the host prototypes on there is one of the little boy Robert, one of Bernard and one of Dolores. We know Dolores is the oldest host in the park so surely would have been made with all of the others not in Ford's secret basement workshop. Does this prove he has made another Dolores?

Oblomov16 · 19/11/2016 11:05

I am a bit confused right now, might need a re-watch. Bernard as a host really shocked me.
