It is that time of the year when we get to enjoy watching a bunch of incompetent baffoons try an impress Lord Suranal, whilst we laugh and mock them from our sofa's.

I am reading all of their quotes in this morning's Metro and I already want to slap each and every one of them.

Oliver (fired tonight) has also been on Dinner date, from memory...

JosephineMaynard · 21/10/2016 00:17

Salt and vinegar fudge was such a bizarre choice.

I like salt and vinegar as a savoury flavour, like in crisps - but in sweets? It doesn't sound at all tasty. I'm amazed they sold any.

FoxesOnSocks · 21/10/2016 00:19

I'm just catching up now (tonight's and last week's). One of them just said 'initial start'. Honestly what's the story with this mad way of talking? Do we have a final start?

It's as if they spend more time trying to sound clever (and failing) than being effective.

FoxesOnSocks · 21/10/2016 00:20

Salt and vinegar fudge sounds grim. I doubt I'd want to try it and I adore fudge.

JustDanceAddict · 21/10/2016 08:11

He so deserved to go for putting through that grim flavour offudge! I love S&v crisps, but fudge - no thanks!

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 21/10/2016 12:08

Has Oliver been on TV before, was he an actual date on Dinner Date?

I vaguely remember a posh lad in a farmhouse come lodge type place, think possibly in Cumbria, who had a food company, charcuterie mainly. He was very condescending to the nice female teacher who was chosing. When she said she worked in the state sector you'd have thought she said she'd arrived, unwashed, from swamp diving. I think I zoned out after that. Pretty sure if it was him, just not 100%. I do recall that he seemed much more interested in talking about his food business than in the woman he was cooking for and it seemed as though it was just an opportunity for some TV promotion.

I looked up his company. It's been going four or five years and the last filed accounts show it's over £72,000 in the red. Can't see Alan Sugar being particularly attracted by that.

One thing I would advise him, particularly as a business person, is that if your name's something like Oliver Nohl-Oser then it's unfortunate to make your Twitter handle @oliverhoh loser although that's just what he was last night.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius How did I miss this thread? I have only been watching The Appr notice for a couple of years, and I am kicking myself for missing all the earlier series.

You can find some of them on Youtube if you need a fix between current series'. I have watched Series 1 there, as well as Series' of Young Apprentice and the American and Australian versions of the show, that I had not seen.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 21/10/2016 19:33

Ohhhh - thanks, JAPAB! That sorts out my entertainment for when I get to the end of the Grays' Anatomy box set marathon I've been on!

Thanks

I've just caught up as away on holiday . Mukai is terrible , he should have been fired as well.

cricketballs · 23/10/2016 09:20

Spoiler Alert in my TV guide it ways "the task hasn't even begun before there's a big shock - one candidate leaves the competition" If you watch the trailer about the shop window reveal it is very easy to work out who leaves....

Roussette · 23/10/2016 12:49

I was away and saw last 15 mins of Apprentice then You're Fired. I haven't caught up but can't be bothered!

cricket I've just watched the 2 minute clip about next task... I can see one team do awfully well and one just do awful Grin

Has someone walked out? Bearing in mind I'm seeing people I've barely clocked before, I don't think I could guess who!

cricketballs · 23/10/2016 12:54

Roussette look at the 2 teams looking at the windows as to who is missing it's someone who has been very prominent

Roussette · 23/10/2016 14:54

There's 2 or 3 I didn't spot cricket! But don't tell me Grin

HarryPottersMagicWand · 23/10/2016 21:44

I saw it said that too. I was quite annoyed really as I love spoilers on some programmes but I love it when stuff happens on The Apprentice that you just don't expect. I am not going to go looking for whom isn't there but I can hazard a guess as thinking back on it, I don't remember this person being on the shop trailers and I think they would have been.

I wondered who the black guy was as well, I saw a clip before this week's episode and remember thinking "who the fuck are you?" I reckon they show the idiots and weaker candidates first, then the better ones will quietly go through each week and show they are good later on. Something about the Irish (is she Irish? She sat next to Oliver and politely said he was a rubbish project manager) lady seems good. I think she'll go far. She seems professional unlike many of them. Cannot stand Karthik or whatever his name is. Plastic face is annoying too.

Roussette · 27/10/2016 20:52

Anyone up for it tonight?!

I hear Sralan blows his top big time!

dillite · 27/10/2016 20:57

I'm here and I am ready. I actually had a nap earlier just so that I wasn't falling asleep during the Apprentice.

Roussette · 27/10/2016 21:03

Blimey there's still 15 left... no wonder I don't know all their names!

dillite · 27/10/2016 21:03

15? How? Do they store some in some cupboards and just bring them out one by one each week?

Roussette · 27/10/2016 21:05

I think this is going to be totally cringeworthy Grin

dillite · 27/10/2016 21:07

I am not surprised at all at Aleksandra quitting. She has been coming across as thinking as being too good for it.

Roussette · 27/10/2016 21:07

Oh there we go... the flounce off we'd heard about!

I have to say, I missed most of last week so she hasn't registered much with me

Unicorn1981 · 27/10/2016 21:10

I quite liked her! For tv anyway but trust her to flounce off on tv. Mind you she'd probably already spoken to someone and they'd told her to do that!

JosephineMaynard · 27/10/2016 21:12

Poor form quitting at the beginning of the task like that.

dillite · 27/10/2016 21:12

Karren's "I just smelled a fart" face is so slappable.

Roussette · 27/10/2016 21:13

What a name... "Dillon St. Paul". I wonder if it's his real name doubtful

Not sure Fat Mark Wright will contribute much to this task, he looks thoroughly bored!
