Just to update on the viewing figures according to BARB the first episode of Our Girl got 5.28 million viewers over the first 7 days and it's rival programme on ITV got 3.27 million . Ok nerdy fact over.

Serious business - I reckon that "All is well" or "We will make it all good!" might figure in best catchphrases if they get repeated again before the end of the series.

The apple cake went down very well tonight with custard!

Got my appointment through at the hospital very quickly - the doctor said not to be surprised at how quick it would be. I think Friday is going to be a "lay back and think of CJ England" moment. Oh well, at least it's time out of work.

Sorry to hear things haven't been so good at home Maddie. We're 100% by your side if you need us...

I rather like CJ's words "Make this a moment to remember rather than one we want to forget". I might not have got it word perfect yet I need to watch it a few more times yet to learn the script.

Just watched MK on the One Show.

Can't believe it's nearly Episode 3 already. Going so quick and we waited so long for it. So unfair. Hope they don't keep us waiting as long to announce a 3rd series.

Finished October 2014, got official confirmation June 2015. Then filming started March 2016.

Felt sooo much longer than that

I remember LT tweeting, when S1 finished, they, TG, BA and her, were going to have a meeting re another series, BBC took took too long to decide Hmm

Did I read somewhere MK nor LP not too sure about taking part in another series?

I think it's strong as a series of linked dramas, rather than needing to have the same characters central to each series. That way it has more scope to explore the many themes of women working in the army. Cameos and references in the scrips can keep the old characters involved in the background, to tie it together.

Definitely, although all the interviews BA has done, he says CJ is weary and getting a bit fed up of the army.I really hope that's not his way of slowly saying I'm not doing another one ConfusedShock

I'm wanting Molly back, Series about married life, kids etc and serving overseas. I suppose lot will depend on where the hotspots are in the world over the next few months for where a new series might be set.

No reason why both medics couldn't be in a series together??

Ice I also have that feeling that BA may not return for a third series, as he has mentioned several times now re being weary etc, not sure why he says this. There was a long time before TG announced that BA was returning for series 2, was never sure why. BA would be a massive loss to OG if he never returned for a series 3, more than MK.

Afternoon! Interesting to listen to the theories regarding a possible third series which I think is more likely this time than perhaps at the end of the last but then TV is a funny old business and lots of shows don't seem to get commissioned even if the public like them - naming no names here. They might think that after a 90 minute drama and two five part series it's had a fair run. Not that I do!

I suppose if BA doesn't want to do another series we could always have one with Molly making lots of references to CJ Smile. I think if MK doesn't want to do it, it's more likely that there will be a completely new character - maybe an 'older' lady, just a suggestion Grin - not likely to win so many viewers unless you can get Sarah Lancashire or someone of that ilk.

I'm guessing that MK will get a lot of of offers in the near future and she's just done that series about Tina and Bobby Moore so it might be hard to pin her down but I'd certainly be happy to watch another series with her based on what I've seen so far. I feel a little bit sorry for LT (probably shouldn't) as this has had so much more publicity and I think LT was just as good but in a different way in the main role, conveying what it's like to be young, on your first deployment and feeling your feet. However, she's been widely praised for her work on Eastenders as well so can't be too bad.

I could see why BA might want to do something other than CJ. Fleabag is getting a great response, so with any luck he'll get picked up more for quality stuff.

If TG had any sense he would have signed him with an option for series 3; maybe the sideline development of CJ's dissatisfaction with Army life will be something to develop that?
