Oh I love how we were quite out of synch on a lot of this it probably makes for very funny reading. I am going back to read all the musings I've missed see you in a bit.

Yes there was lots of setting the scene in ep one. This ep was tighter, faster.
(But they still forgot sections 1 and 3 and half of Elvis' troop, plus, where's his sergeant? Probably left out to not overcrowd the frame! But they were definitely better in handling "crowds" last series --everyone in two section had a name and a face!)

I think it was my fault probably - I fast forwarded over the opening credits. Sorry.

I don't think Elvis has a troop Delphin like the regular army. The SAS will operate differently I understand, in smaller groups.

I stole the idea of doing a best twirly finger poll off whajeb and did it on Twitter ilove. 89% for CJ. I did gifs and everything

Iloveblue : True, so it might be four (a quarter of an SAS troop), but why is an officer leading them? Well, I can answer that myself: So that there's an equal opponent to CJ that he cannot just pull rank on.

When I was with my Mum's cousin today, I wanted to show her the photo of my antique chest which was restored a couple of months ago so got out my phone. Staring us both in the face was Elvis as my screensaver so she asked who it was. I skirted round it a bit and said he was just off the telly! Later on, however, she mentioned OG and how she had been watching it so I was a bit surprised she didn't recognise him. She probably just watches it for the drama, a bit like woof does.

What she did complain about was not being able to understand some of the words as they seemed muffled so I explained it was not her or her television and she needed to try subtitles!

Thanks everyone - that was fun. Now really looking forward to episode 3. In the meantime I'll have to make do with Poldark tomorrow - hope it's better than episode 1 and 2. About the most exciting thing was recognising the court location when it appeared. At the moment I'm actually enjoying 'Victoria' more although I save that for Monday evenings. I just need to find something for Tuesdays and then I have OG to entertain me for at least another three evenings. I gave up on 'One of Us' after episode one although maybe I should try binge watching it as that's often more effective. I actually have a box set of Mad Men that I've had for months but once I get stuck into that I might be gone for a very long time. Perhaps I should wait for the drought to set in. Mind you SCD starts next Friday/Saturday - love a bit of glamour.

What are we doing about a watchalong next weekend Rhu? What time is SCD on?

I'm tired now and I have to be up and dressed and out for about 8.10 tomorrow for my doctor's appointment. Still amazed our surgery has started weekend openings!

I've got a copy of The Imitation Game to watch following our tour of Bletchley Park (not Lechley Park) and need to give it back to my friend next weekend. I can hardly admit that the only thing I've watched this week has been OG, can I?

Ooh er - difficult one ilove. SCD is 9pm on Friday but probably earlier on Saturday. I reckon it will be over before 9pm. What do you reckon to a marathon watchalong on Saturday - SCD followed by OG episode 3 or is that just too much? Would a Monday be any better? Food for thought. Enjoy the Imitation Game it's really good. i'm thinking of watching "Hope and Glory" in a minute - I've got it on DVD.
