And this on you tube

Rhubarb01 · 28/09/2016 17:36

Thanks ice. I am find the timescales a bit difficult to fathom out. I think the problem was in episode 1 when it wasn't really apparent how long they had been in Kenya before the kidnap happened. It seemed like it happened on the second or third day and then as previously mentioned after Georgie appeared to have been held hostage about 2 days she got rescued and they went home. I just think it needed something to indicate the passage of time - a date and time indicator or something in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Yes, it's annoying.

I think they must have been in Kenya longer than it seemed- before she was kidnapped. Must have been near the end of the tour for the rest of them to also be in a hotel in Mombasa.

Only date we got was the one where Abu flew to Ethiopia Hmm

And this struck me today. In 1st series, Molly was replacement medic for the section. But in this series CJ asked Georgie and no mention of her being a replacement apart from 'I need a medic....'. Bloody unlucky section to keep losing their actual medics Grin

kazzaD66 · 28/09/2016 18:48

I'm happy to be his next medic Grin

Ilovelblue · 28/09/2016 19:45

Oh yes kazza, I think there'd be a few interviews for that job!

I've no idea how other regiments engage with RAMC. Do they headhunt somebody for the mission or are they given Joe Bloggs who is then assigned to them?

TheLegendOfBeans · 28/09/2016 20:03

I've just realised today isn't Tuesday as I've thought it was all day so YAYYYY new episode tonight woohoo

goes back to sleep

Ilovelblue · 28/09/2016 20:05

I hope I manage to stay awake for tonight's episode. I am sooooooooo tired. On top of all the ladies' problems, we did our cake sale for the Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning today. I love organising the cake sales but they are pretty hard work. The setting up and dismantling is harder than the actual selling. We made £372 this time which was pretty respectable though not quite as good as last year. We did have some brilliant donations. This was the equivalent of the GBBO's showstopper.

Nice cake ilove and good work raising the money!

Anyone think we could be heading for a cliffhanger 'To be Continued...' ending tonight?

Have just stopped working, Rhu after many, many years and have had trouble adjusting. I've always been a night owl and do quite a lot of writing at night. Have written 2 chapters of CJ's diary this week.
can sleep during the day if I wish.

kuiakaituhi · 28/09/2016 20:40

Ps. MUMSNET TOURING PARTY features in Cj's memories in his latest diary entry Just posted, Chapter 7.

kazzaD66 · 28/09/2016 20:48

I have a horrible feeling that we won't see as much of CJ in the final two episodes. If they are both based in Manchester (don't know, only guessing) then apart from the doctor /CJ chat and possibly a wedding and /or propping up so-called friend Elvis, not sure how much TG can plausibly weave CJ into the action. Fingers crossed I'm wrong but if there is too much of Doctor Death by boredom or bloody EH, I may just zone out!!!

Richtea19 · 28/09/2016 20:57

Just popping in having been to a "raising achievement for year 13" eve... Def need for wine after that. DS is clearly not prepared for all the suggested deadlines! Ahhhhhh

Anyway ilove spectacular show stopper cake,! Yum.

I'm watching bake off now so will be behind on OG. Almost tempted to wait until tomorrow when I'm not so stressed, unless I watch tonight and then again tomorrow!

Nickel45 · 28/09/2016 21:04

Just had a quick nose kuia - brilliant! (putting the kids to bed which means they are like flipping yoyo's so will read properly later!) But did remind me that we were still waiting out for chapter 2 of CJ Carries on Camping .... just sayin'!!

ilove congrats on your sale, that's brilliant x

StarsandSparkles · 28/09/2016 21:25

Well well our dr jamie is turning into a bit of a nippy sweetie it seems...

NotAMammy · 28/09/2016 21:48

I missed the first episode of this, but did they just say that they were about to get married and he never knew that she'd been left at the alter?

Also, I'm a bit Hmm about the reaction the army have had, shutting down the centre like that? Would they not lure him in with lots of undercover?

pennygoodlife · 28/09/2016 21:51

Elvis is very scrummy!

Ilovelblue · 28/09/2016 21:59

Well that was a very tense episode!

MaQueen · 28/09/2016 22:02

God, I enjoyed that. Very tense. I am desperate to know if she chooses Elvis.

moojangles · 28/09/2016 22:03

I was nearly nice about Elvis!!

Ilovelblue · 28/09/2016 22:03

penny there's not a great deal of love for Elvis on here really but I am definitely of the opinion he's rather scrummy! You wouldn't have given him the time of day after what he did if this was real life, but it's television and different!

Rhubarb01 · 28/09/2016 22:03

I'm a bit hmmm...So we've got a terrorist stalker1

I laughed out loud about the tunnels under the blown up house! I don't like Georgie's sister or her mum at the moment or Dr Bland's attitude. Looks like Georgie and Elvis are getting all Dempsey and Makepeace! So hmm at the moment.

OP posts:
Richtea19 · 28/09/2016 22:06

rhu love the Dempsey and Make peace reference! Hilarous!

Poor old CJ, same lines difference series!

Ilovelblue · 28/09/2016 22:07

Rhu I don't mind the sister too much (and we were right about her fancying Fingers) but the mother is wrong to drive her to Jamie just because she despises Elvis. Had to laugh when Elvis came in through the bedroom window again.

Rhubarb01 · 28/09/2016 22:08

CJ looked nice in the cafe and he did refer to his 'wife' bless him.

Elvis was good this week and did his job mooj. Smile
