Heli wasn't it Jomo's father who had stolen Kiki's watch after her kidnapping? They took him off to prison, didn't they? Therefore no idea how Elvis ended up with the watch. I would have thought he was too busy doing his James Bond stuff to get involved with the prison interrogation.

After my rant just now, I need to ask if we find anything out about Mansfield?

moojangles · 22/09/2016 21:37

I'll admire CJ of course but deffo not feeling the Elvis love, or the LP love

Rhubarb01 · 22/09/2016 21:38

Shakespeare it aint polly but for all it's faults, which we frequently point out, we just can't help but like it Smile.

A lot of us have been on this thread 'chatting' for a long time now and there are some RL friendships too. Why does anyone like anything? Frankly, I can't understand obsessions with football or Star Trek but each to their own. All I mean to say really is all opinions are welcome and always have been. Most of us agree there are things about this series that are not quite as we hoped but we still just enjoy talking about it. It's really just a bit of fun for us and a nice diversion from all the boring, mundane things that we all have to put up with in an average day.

Don't worry ilove I will enjoy trying to fathom it all out, good, bad improbable or downright ridiculous no matter what. You're right that we knew it would be different and we are still adjusting to the fact. I think it's ok to compare the series and have a preference for one or the other and although it's probably series 1 for me I'm still interested to know how it all pans out and to find out whether GL and Elvis sort it all out or not.

Also hope everything goes alright tomorrow - at least you can conjure up the image of CJ sitting by your bedside and holding your hand - and jolly nice and hopefully distracting the thought will be too Grin

Hi Polly. I agree with Rhu's sentiments there. I am friendly with three people from here and in fact am due to meet up with two of them again very soon. A number of us have even travelled quite some distances in a few cases to be able to meet. It is all a bit of fun and quite honestly sheer escapism sometimes! It surprised me how involved we all became as this is the first and only forum I've joined.

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 21:50

Rhu thanks for that. I have decided that I shall have Elvis holding one hand and CJ the other! It is most definitely going to be a lay back and think of England morning.

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 21:54

I forgot! Rhu as one of the main watchalong leaders, have we decided when we are doing it this week? Friday and Saturday were both mentioned earlier.

Rhubarb01 · 22/09/2016 22:05

Oh ilove I am seriously conflicted now - SCD is on at 9pm tomorrow and it's on Saturday evening too. OK if I promised faithfully NOT to talk about SCD on Saturday evening would anyone like to do a watchalong at 9pm on Saturday - or is it just me who has nothing a lot better to do? I'd suggest tomorrow but fear 8pm would be too early for most.

Hang on a moment ilove!!! GrinGrin I have lusted admired LP since I first saw him on Musketeers Smile I am willing to share him Hmm

I shall join you holding hands with our leading men Smile

I'm enjoying this series, I love the banter that CJ has with his section. I like the camaraderie between them all. Ep 3 was a bit all over the place but isn't ep 3 on the last series the one we all fast forward to get past Molly and Smurf in the U.K.? So, this episode will be the same. Next week will be more action packed

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 22:07

9pm on Saturday would suit me fine. I'll have had my friend's two boys all day so sitting in front of OG is just about as much as I'll be able to manage.

I am practising now if I can confess - watching again just for research purposes of course.

Rhubarb01 · 22/09/2016 22:18

I reckon we'll get a cliffhanger at the end of episode 4 and I'm actually feeling slightly nervous in case someone meets an unexpected fate.

Now yet another question - would CJ really think it was a good idea for GL to consider going out on another tour to Syria after what happened in Kenya? I was a bit surprised by that and I would have thought she could do with going back to teach medics for a while. Or is this as pix suggests a way out for her - a reason to make a decision for herself.

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 22:26

I have no military know-how at all but I should have thought that with PTSD being a big thing at the moment, no doctor in his or her right mind would sanction another tour so soon after what she went through in Kenya.

Not sure how that would work for the SAS though - Elvis made it sound as if they do one mission, come back and immediately get sent off halfway round the world on another.

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 22:28

Glad you're willing to share ice. Isn't the Musketeers' motto "One for all and all for one"?

Rhubarb01 · 22/09/2016 22:37

Didn't someone say that last night ilove? When they were at the pool or something. I think GL was talking to Fingers and there was a reference to "one for all" which made me smile.

Must have missed that one Rhu. I was possibly too busy drooling over one or other of the captains.

Monk said something along the lines of 'we're all in it together' It of course being waiting to get their hands on some beers.

I'm glad we have someone around so measured and tactful as yourself rhu.

Rhubarb01 · 22/09/2016 23:00

It's about 8 minutes in when they say they have to wait for R&R. The exact words are "One in...all in," but it's close enough!

That's what I thought ilove, Georgie spotted Jomo's father wearing the watch, then saw a picture of Kiki wearing it then put two and two together that he had to be linked to the guys that kidnapped her, he was then taken away after the raid on the house, was puzzled as to how Elvis then ended up with it.

Hope it all goes well for you tomorrow.

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 23:34

NVM I have met up with Nickel for the last two years halfway up the M40 and met Richtea and ice earlier this year in Manchester and am due to do so again very soon. No prizes for guessing what the main subject of conversation was!

pixieg1rl · 22/09/2016 23:40

Hope it goes well tomorrow ilove. Lie back and think of combats.

Ilovelblue · 22/09/2016 23:46

Low slung ones of course pixie! Thank you.

KeziaOAP · 23/09/2016 00:03

Ilove will be thinking of you tomorrow Flowers

Richtea19 · 23/09/2016 07:05

NVM, since we met up I have met ilove and ice in Manchester and soon to meet up again (very excited to be able "speak" rather than type my obsession love for all things CJ (and partly Elvis). I've met jen, whatjeb, nipper, Ali (can't remember MN name) and prob more from MN but also on the FB group. It's brilliant! My DH since "gang bang orgy gate" has just let it go band realises it makes be happy and keeps me amused without bothering him... Apart from driving to Manchester for me!) and the kids. Well
I'm an embarrassment anyway so what the hell!

MaddieMoo82 · 23/09/2016 07:23
