Well, what did we all think?

Well done to whoever (I think Rhu was one and maybe Jen was another) came up with the identity of Laura.

Well done to TG for another nailbiting episode.

Rhubarb01 · 21/09/2016 22:11

No plot is safe from the Ladies of Lechley Park - I think quite a few of us thought Laura was a child and someone else mentioned 'Debs' and the morning of the wedding theory - sorry can't remember who but it wasn't initially me. However, I am pretty sure from what was said that CJ knew all along what had happened remember - "have you caught up on Elvis' news." So he just kept quiet about it.

No, Georgie "All is NOT well with the world" I loved how she realised she was repeating him.

Was actually quite touched by Elvis tearful confession! That was quite sweet.

Favourite moment was the start when the medic said, "Is your vision OK" and Georgie says, "No, he's still in it!" ha ha!

Nice scenes with CJ.

Quite a lot in there and defnitely requiring a re-watch.

Loved the "not too shabby". Letchley Park Intel was spot on!

Brilliant episode. Now need to find time to read watch it.

Ilovelblue · 21/09/2016 22:15

I'm flicking through it again now Rhu. I've been feeling really rough this week and this is the first thing today which has taken my mind off it all!

Ilovelblue · 21/09/2016 22:23

Have we decided when we're doing the watchalong this week?

pixieg1rl · 21/09/2016 22:23

I feel a bit discombobulated over that episode, it's sort of left me feeling quite grumpy and annoyed. I'm chalking it up to pmt.

It was rescued by some fantastic 2 section stuff and I liked CJ as the caring commanding officer.

Ilovelblue · 21/09/2016 22:25

Yes pixie I thought CJ played a very good role this week. Solid, dependable and all the arrogance from the last series has gone. Not to mention even more handsome than the last series in my view.

Rhubarb01 · 21/09/2016 22:28

Just realised that there was a nod to "I want you to be the first thing I see..." as Elvis said "I loved you from the first moment I saw you and I'll love you until the last..." something like that.

Actually, I was pondering the last episode and thought that the moment Georgie slapped Elvis around the face he should have realised that she still loved him. No one who didn't care would bother to react that way. After all its hardly surprising that she still loved him because you can't have someone pull the rug from under your feet in the way that he did and simply forget about it. People only truly move on when they've had time to drift away from a relationship - she had no chance - and it seems as if the same is true for him. I'm glad however, that they continued episode 3 from where they left off last week and didn't just fast forward to the hospital. I really wanted to see what they said and did next and it was worth it.

Hmm I'm with you pix the whole episode felt a bit disjointed, forced and predictable. Feeling a bit meh I'm afraid. Still struggling with CJs new lisp and superfluousness (is that a word?) to the story. It's a 5/10 from me Simon Confused

Yes Rhu I picked up on that "first thing I see" type phrase. TG is so good - he has picked up on so many of our favourite things from the previous series. I loved it when Georgie was asked if her vision was ok and she said no because she could still see Elvis. Humour even after all the trauma she'd been through!

Richtea19 · 21/09/2016 22:32

I loved caring CJ, especially when he walked into the hospital when GL was in bed. I'm divided between captain Stern Face and soft CJ!b loads of brilliant 2 section banter and fingers got a cameo role!

Shame about Mansfield though - hoped there would be some word of how he is recovering.

Richtea19 · 21/09/2016 22:34

ilove I was thinking at some stages that TG was writing for us!! I need to read watch but felt there were references that we picked up on from first series not that we have all watched each episode over 100 times

Ilovelblue · 21/09/2016 22:37

Yes, I am sure somebody like ice might have some intel into what TG has read/heard/been told but there have been lots of things thrown into this series that I am certain he knows will titillate us.

Rhubarb01 · 21/09/2016 22:37

Just going into hyper Miss Marple mode but you don't suppose there's any significance to Dr Jamie asking to see GL's blood test results from Kenya is there? I'm seeing too much into everything now!

As for the slight bitiness we felt a bit like that with episode 3 of series 1 too didn't we - what with the Rosabaya then lots of England and Smurf and of course Sohailgate!

NVM yes, I thought that the elder sister would be likely to cop off with Fingers at the wedding..... if there is a wedding that is. Still not convinced it will happen.

Rhubarb01 · 21/09/2016 22:43

Yes, CJ was lovely to Georgie and when she got up at the singing session she had her hands all over his shoulders - I almost said "Get your mitts off - he's Molly's". We must however, remind ourselves that Molly is Georgie's friend and I'll bet CJ feels a bit responsible having had to deliver the bad news on the wedding day for Elvis.

Must say as well that CJ is looking very handsome this series I just wish he had Molly with him in a scene or two !!

Mk is fabulous but her lips are far too distracting imo. Her surgery really detracts from her acting. Bloody hell LP is flippin gorgeous.

Richtea19 · 21/09/2016 22:44

rhu I noticed the hand on shoulder moment and a slight squeeze too!

May be GEorgie will jilt boring Doc at the alter and run after Elvis??

pixieg1rl · 21/09/2016 22:45

Anyway, to cheer you up woof I have some behind the scenes photos of BA to send you to your pit with a smile on your face
