am fascinated by who does which voices

Justin is very prolific: does Jake & Doodles from Tweenies, the animals on Boo!, the bear in Fun Song Factory, and something on CITV with some lad with blue hair

Tigs from Shiny Show is Sue who used to be one of Cbeebies presenters

worked out this afternoon that one of Bits and Bobs is Barnaby Bear

anyone else, please god, prove themselves to be as sad as me?

pui/poi was one of the teletubbies (po i think)

DumbledoresGirl · 29/01/2007 20:12

Nope, you take the prize for saddest Mner of the year Cappuccino!

PandaG · 29/01/2007 20:13

Can't add any more to the ones you have noticed Capp, but I will say that I know (slightly) the body who is inside Jake from Tweenies, and is also one of the Fimbles.

Very tangential, but there you go!

popsycal · 29/01/2007 20:13

i think moody margaret on horrible henry could also be fizz off the tweenies.....
not sure though but sussed it today

Cappucino, I've been wondering for ages about Barnaby Bear/Bits and Bobs but never manage to see the credits to check. It definitely is though, isn't it?

twelveyeargap · 29/01/2007 20:17

Thankfully haven't had to watch kids tv for years (have it all to come with #2), but AM facinated by voice overs. Wouldn't recognise a celeb in the street if they slapped me in the face and introduced themselves, but am ALWAYS saying "oh, isn't that so-and-so doing that advert."

Olihan · 29/01/2007 20:20

I hadn't spotted the Milton Wordsworth/Cat thing either .

I do know that Iain Lauchlan who devised and produces the Tweenies and Boo also did the original Fun Song Factories back in the early 90's. Justin also presented a couple of them, do you think there's a link.....is he Iain Lauchlan's secret love child or something?

LIZS · 29/01/2007 20:20

Justin is on the credits for BB3B too !! Sue used to do Poppy on Playdays (I go back a bit !)

popsycal · 29/01/2007 20:23

paul from tikkabilla is on a old thing where he is some sort of rag doll

Cappuccino · 29/01/2007 20:25

ooh Olihan there are more

Rossetti Wordsworth was the black-leather lesbian in Shameless

also Shelley used to be on a Vaseline ad where she leaps about in the semi nud putting cream on herself

dh quite liked it

suzycreamcheese · 29/01/2007 20:27

think its very sharp eyed of you!
we've gone off telly for a bit, but only ended up having daytime crush on chris from doodle doo

Spidermama · 29/01/2007 20:28

misdee I thought the Poi thing was an urban myth. DH knows her dh so I'll get him to check. Am now trying to imagine her going 'Pa deet. Pa deet' and it's not quite working.

Sarah Jane was in a circus we saw in Brighton a couple of summers ago being a clown. She was very good.

DumbledoresGirl · 29/01/2007 20:30

I did once think that the pink star thing on Rubbadubbers was Dizzy on Bob the Builder but apparently not.

DumbledoresGirl · 29/01/2007 20:31

POi is definitely Po. I have seen it written somewhere (as though that makes it gospel truth!)

Olihan · 29/01/2007 20:32

Rosetti Wordsworth is in a current Directline ad too, the hairdresser one.

Olihan · 29/01/2007 20:38

Sarah Jane used to be a contortionist before she went into kids' TV. That fact didn't cure dh's sad little crush on her!

morningpaper · 29/01/2007 20:50

I should think it only INCREASED it

My dp DRIBBLES when she comes on telly with her awful pigtails

frenziednester · 29/01/2007 20:53

Mine too - in fact he watches Higgledy House when the children aren't here. I am quite sad Sue isn't on it anymore - I thougth she was nice and smiley.

redclover79 · 29/01/2007 21:06

I think bella from tweenies is also that woman on underground ernie (one of the human ones, can't remember the name... y'know the one who's in charge of the trains...).

mumto3girls · 29/01/2007 21:10

Pui Fan Lee is definitely PO. I have loads of the dvds and she is credited on every one!

bringmeashrubbery · 29/01/2007 21:13

I used to go to college with the chap who does most of the voices on Bob the Builder, not Neil Morrisey, but Scoop Muck etc...bloomin' winds me up every time it's on as I can remember his voice quite clearly...

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 29/01/2007 21:14

the voice of florry fimble (the new one as it used to be someone else) is the same person as does dizzy in bob the builder and amelia in the rubbadubbers.
