this could be the most tragic thread about kids tv ever but I've wanted to start it for months

am fascinated by who does which voices

Justin is very prolific: does Jake & Doodles from Tweenies, the animals on Boo!, the bear in Fun Song Factory, and something on CITV with some lad with blue hair

Tigs from Shiny Show is Sue who used to be one of Cbeebies presenters

worked out this afternoon that one of Bits and Bobs is Barnaby Bear

anyone else, please god, prove themselves to be as sad as me?

Oh, and Justin is the voice on a VTech Sunny Days Radio we have. He only says 'Sunny Day' and 'Cloudy Day' but it's unmistakeably him.

Chris does Mr Mopple, and Sue is the voice of the cat in that show too (Tinkerbelle??).

Chris also does the voices of a couple of the trains on underground ernie.

I only just noticed that Justin was the voice of Jake... how dim am i?

Julien Lennon is one of the trains on Thomas the tank. Must have been hard up so asked Uncle Ringo for a job.

I always thought that Dave Benson Philips might be Milo from the tweenies, but I never remember to watch the credits. He moves like him too I think.

And he is also the doodles gruff voice.

Poi is also in the second Bridget Jones film.
Doodle Do guy is in an advert for glasses, and i'm sure it's his voice i can hear on another advert -Tesco 5 fruit and veg maybe? I can't remember just now

Justin is also a voice on todd world, not sure what the characters name is though, but definately him on the credits as the english voice over

now, is the voice of the whybird (remember playbus ) now something else? maybe on fimbles?

know i heard her voice but can't quite remember where....???

Cant believe all this. I think I am the saddest MNer here as had no idea they all do voices for different shows. Will definatley pay more attention to Cbeebies from now on, how fascinating!( I think I need to get out more )!!

oh god I am shit hot on voices. it is my thing.

we'll be watching ER or somthing and dp will be going "hmm, she was on the west wing wasn't she...who was she..." and I'll be knitting away, paying no attention to the tv, and then they will speak and I will instantly place them as the second red jumper from the left in season 4. It is my talent and my thing. Which is feckin sad really but hey

don't watch kids tv though so can't help in the slightest, sorry

Got very excited when playing with a Vtech alphabet desk in a shop and realised the voice was Justin's!

I watch far too much kids tv.

Back on the Pui theme... the other day they were doing birthdays and a card had Po on it and Chris said it was their favourite Tellytubby and Pui said Eh-oh. DD was amazed at her impersonation.
God, I'm sad these days...

I went to school with someone called Pui. She was always at great pains to tell everyone that it is NOT pronounced "poy", but is infact "poo-ee".

well, that's strange, as afaik 'pui' is pronounced 'puy' .. hmm
I met somebody who worked on Teletubbies years ago and he said Po was Pui, but not anymore.

For those of you who love Chris from doodle doo, he has the new job on Scrum V adverts (not sure if this is oly shown in wales) ....think hes breaking through into mainstream ladies, blink and he'll be gone from our cbeebies bliss
