Think I'd say s3 baddies best of all 3. But I REALLY missed Milady. Wasn't convinced by Sylvie, had no problems with Athos or any of Muskies. Kingy was magnificent my phone was insistent that should have said kinky! and Treville broke my heart. Grimaud was very hot sinister. Overall I liked it a lot... With 1 or 2 glaring irritations.

In defence of howie, he was lovely and very helpful taking pix of us and santi we were rendered totally incompetent by general flailing at a s2 publicity event in london. at which I spoke Spanish to santi and sparks very flirtily asked him to speak in spanish

Guess there will be no more musketourism now the show is over but crumpet we periodically have wench meetups in various uk locations mainly London and Birmingham with a general policy of the more the merrier...

Re books, as I remember -
Athos does have a child with a woman who isn't Milady because he's the Viscomte de whatever in the book of the same name. So I guess they followed that.

Also, doesn't Dog become the captain eventually and Aramis some kind of minister as well as a priest? Can't remember what Porthos does except for die eventually (is that right?).

Also, historically (sorry to bore you), wasn't Queen Anne said to have been sleeping with her first minister, albeit Cardinal Maserin (spelling?) and not Aramis. Who also would have had knowledge of ecclesiastical matters....

This could all be clutching at straws to justify the ending but quite interesting the way they did it....

Interesting book/series comparisons morelike - I've only read the first one so far. Have totally lost the reading habit over the last few months & am annoyed with myself.

But on a postive note, the Olympics starts today I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! DD has prepared a schedule of all the events we are interested in so we need never miss a skimpy-shorted dive a GB medal chance

LOL Madame you are quite right - you are an utter tart/minx though in your defence, through complicated plot devices you thought you were seducing a parish priest (for kicks whist on the run for some failed political plot or other) and didn't realise it was really Athos (who wasn't complaining about being seduced the tart and didn't realise who you were either until after the event)

Baddes - maybe the chaise is actually a modified Ektorp! The covers certainly come off more regularly that a wenches knickers (if she's wearing any) in the presence of leather-clad HBFs
